For the first time, EA has issued a list of finalists. Per SportsBusiness Daily, there are nine: Steelers S Troy Polamalu, Colts QB Peyton Manning, Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald, Chiefs QB Matt Cassel, Cowboys LB DeMarcus Ware, Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger, Giants RB Brandon Jacobs, Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, and Ravens S Ed Reed.


Just say no, Demarcus. BTW, Peterson has already said no according to this article. Let's hope Big Ben gets it.

Here's my guesses, based on who has the best chance to take a step back from last year and continue the curse:

Larry Fitzgerald- after his playoff performance anything human would be a step back for him

Matt Cassel- One year wonder won't have nearly the supporting staff or the coaching he had last year

Adrian Peterson- Is clearly injury prone

According this article Fitz and Troy are going to share the cover, the first time for this in the 21 year history of the franchise.


The Cards might want to seriously consider keeping Boldin at this point. It appears Fitz is headed for a cursed season.

This was the news weeks ago, I had quoted it on the original Madden forum weeks ago.

Basically they pretend the decision hasn't already been made and that other players are still in contention, but the split cover decision was made a long time ago, Ware was never a possibility.
