Interesting to see the rosters together like this. You can tell where the team's unsure about talent, judging by where they go long at a position. Looking at this, I'd say they've got more faith in the young WR corps than they had last year. And they're devoting several extra spots at OT (and OG, though you've got some of those guys stashed as centers). They brought in a couple extra safeties, too. We're longer at TE, too.
Of course, we get some extra roster spots this season, too. What's interesting, is that by bringing in these extra players, we're increasing the odds of finding a quality player to develop at our current positions of need. Many are unhappy with the two OG FA signings, but it's also true that we're slating an extra 5 spots (12 last year v. 17 this year) to the OL at this point in the off season. Those new players on the bottoms of those position groups aren't going to challenge immediately, but the 3-4 of them (depending how you rate Parnell) who were added last year should be in position to push for playing time. That's not the same thing as signing the top FA OG in this year's class by any stretch, but it's not insignificant.
