Grade Dez -- and if you get called out, defend thine honor! (within the guidelines!)

I give him a B-. He was decent considering he was double covered a lot but he needs to get a lot better and be a more reliable in running the routes the way he's supposed to.

C

In relativity to the expectations, he didn't have a good year. However, there is credit due, he caught the ball when Romo threw it to him (he had one of the highest catch rates in the NFL). Either he simply didn't do enough to facilitate Romo throwing it to him more or whatever, the final results just weren't that great. The most troubling thing is that when Dez was in a position to become the alpha dog pass catcher on the team, he allowed the unheralded Laurent Robinson to come in and steal his looks. You can argue that Robinson wouldn't have done what he did without Dez's presence, but the upper echelon WRs (who we expect Dez to be in the class of) get theirs regardless.

I give him a B

63 catches for 928 yards and 9TD catches not a bad season. Hope to see more out of him next season.

I gave him a B.

Would of given him a B-, because of some games he would disappear in the second half.

However, he still put up 900 yards and 9 tds.

Pretty much my sentiments here.

Being limited as far as route ability kept him out of A for me. Hoping to see improvement in that regard over a whole season as opposed to just the back half of the season like this year.

Could have been better, but still better than a "just another guy" wide receiver. Improved on his rookie campaign. B from me.

I give him a solid C. More than just another guy but not quite the game changer he is expected to be. He needs to have a better year next season.

For a second year receiver, who graded out in the top ten of NFL receivers in most of the highlight categories, one has to at least give an A-. We aren't yet evaluating for Hall of Fame credentials here.

He has met reasonable expectations of making plays on the field. And during a time when Miles Austin was sidelined as well. That's standing up, even while adjusting and improving. He parallels Michael Irvins career, right now, well...and that should not go unrewarded, even if one wishes him to shove Jerry Rice right out of the picture right now, or not.

I gave him a B. I think he had a pretty good 2011 campaign, but he can, and should, be better.

Gave him a B. He is well on his way to being a consistent A player though.

D+

I'm not sure if it's him or if Jason Garrett doesn't know how to use him, but im not impressed with 60 catches and 900+ yards.

Victor Cruz had a 1,500 yard season, and were supposed to be exited about Bryant's 900 yard season...

call me when Bryant puts up a 1,400+ yard season!

his ceiling is so high I give him a B. I was slightly disappointed of his sophomore season and I think he can still be a monster contributor. I hope he works his butt off with our WR coach Robinson this off-season. I expect him to earn an A next season.

I give him a B- because he started hot in the NYJ game, then had some pretty quiet weeks. But the last half of the season he turned it on again. He quietly had a pretty good year. Not to mention a few of our wins, Dez had the big catch to put us into FG range to win.

You really think a D+ is fair for 900+ yards and 9 TDs??? All while drawing double coverage for a majority of the game? You must have forgot about the days of Roy Williams....

I'll give him a B.

I felt like he showed more flashes of what he could, and I believe he will, become and I felt like toward the end of the year he started to show more and more signs of being able to do more and more.

Especially for a 2nd year WR whose yet to even have a training camp really, due to injuries and the lockout, I'm pretty pleased with what he accomplished this year.

C+

Amazing talent, but this is based on performance. Yea, he made some wonderful catches, but that doesn't make up for not knowing his routes as a 2nd year player and disappearing in the second half of games. I can't say this with 100% certainty, but I suspect his lifestyle off the field may be detracting from his potential as a player.

Very good point. Dez Bryant didn't arrive on the battlefield a well trained and up to speed soldier before the battles started.
