2011 NFL Draft Tidbit

So I'm reading War Room by Michael Holley. In it, he talks about the draft room of the Chiefs in 2011.

He indicated that KC held pick 135 (which they eventually used to pick Ricky Stanzi). Dallas wanted to move up to that spot and offered 143 (Josh Thomas) and 176 (Dwayne Harris).

Anyone have any idea (or heard) who they might have been wanting to move up for?

From my understanding, Dallas had taken Cannon off the board due to his health. They should have taken him much earlier. I read a article saying that he is healthy and should become a starter soon. He was one of my pet cats and I wanted him in Dallas. He can play guard and tackle and would have been a big help this year.

Same here, loved Cannon, still do. He had a lot of doubters. Glad the kid pulled through.

Again, New England was smart to stick with the kid.

I'm going to say Josh Thomas.

I will choose to imagine we were targeting Karl Klug, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if they just wanted to move up for Josh Thomas. Could have been Gabe Miller too, trying to bolster the OLB depth, we did end up having Alex Albright as the 4th OLB afterall. I liked Gabe's measureables a lot.

That's what I was thinking.

If it was somebody on that list I'd go with Cannon.
