2011 Schedule

The Cowboys finish third in the NFC east; yet, we have the toughest schedule of the NFC East teams and we travel way more than any other team in the east?
(numbers according to NFL..com)
I would bet that we travel more than the other NFC East teams every year. They all only make one trip to Dallas, while we have to make 3 trips to the east coast just for division games.

So, how many times will we wear the blue road uniforms this season?

Just what I was about to ask! I know Tampa had us wear them in 09, but I think since it's later in the season, they may wear their colors. I hope SOMEONE makes us wear the blues...I miss them. : (

Overall, a real good schedule.
I like it as well, and I'm pretty confident that the team can get back to the playoffs with that schedule.

Love how ESPN only shows the MNF games.

If the worldwide leader doesnt tell us what the SNF and TNF games are we wont bother and just watch ESPN 24/7

Not to shoot you down, but I don't think it's that bad. Not compared to some we've had in recent years. Yeah, it's not easy, but I wouldn't say brutal. I'm not gonna complain about playing at Tampa in December. And besides, who knows how each of those teams will be playing in December. Except for 2007, NYG has been notorious for fading down the stretch.

They did fade down the stretch of the regular season in 2007. They went 4-4 in the last 8 games of that season and lost 2 of their final 3 games.

we probably wear them in week 2 against SF

Why? San Francisco's normal home uniform is their red jersey, so that would leave Dallas with wearing white. Can't think of a time when they didn't wear white while in San Fran.

LOSS 1 Sun. Sep. 11 at Jets 8:20 PM - tough in NY - media market dream
LOSS 2 Sun. Sep. 18 at 49ers 4:05 PM - Going to find out how good Jim Harbaugh going to be - game the boys should win but in SF not easy place for the Boys
WIN 3 Mon. Sep. 26 vs. Commanders 8:30 PM - pressure on to get first win - media circus all over again
WIN 4 Sun. Oct. 02 vs. Lions 1:00 PM 1 - pressure to get back 500
5 BYE
LOSS 6 Sun. Oct. 16 at Patriots 4:15 PM - get ready for a beat down even after a bye - Going to found out how good this Defensive
WIN 7 Sun. Oct. 23 vs. Rams 4:15 PM - gut check, could be Offensive shootout
LOSS 8 Sun. Oct. 30 at Eagles 8:20 PM - in Philly, depend how Defensive playing - they can steal a win here
WIN 9 Sun. Nov. 06 vs. Seahawks 1:00 PM - Boys need to sweep next 5 weeks for the rough schedule in DEC
WIN 10 Sun. Nov. 13 vs. Bills 1:00 PM -
WIN 11 Sun. Nov. 20 at Commanders 1:00 PM
WIN 12 Thu. Nov. 24 vs. Dolphins 4:15 PM
WIN 13 Sun. Dec. 04 at Cardinals 4:15 PM
WIN 14 Sun. Dec. 11 vs. Giants 8:20 PM - another tough division game - depend on the Defensive improvement
LOSS 15 Sat. Dec. 17 at Buccaneers 8:20 PM - thinking might get them here
WIN 16 Sat. Dec. 24 vs. Eagles 4:15 PM
LOSS 17 Sun. Jan. 01 at Giants 1:00 PM

10-6 or 9-7 might not be good enough to get in the playoffs... I really don't see the BOYS dominated the lesser teams. I can see them struggle against teams like the Lions or Rams - of course this will depend on our Defensive improvements and pressure down the stretch - we know Dec haven't been kind to the BOYS

At least we don't have to face the Packers or Saints this year.
We've got all offseason to prepare for the Jets and 2 weeks to prepare for the Pats.

Cowboys should win their division with this schedule.

Why is the Eagles-Cowboys game on a Saturday, Dec. 24, instead of Christmas Day itself, Sunday, Dec. 25?

Yeah, and why is that game not on NFL Networthless? The NFL really passed the dorch when it came to our holiday games this year.

Because Sunday is Christmas. They only have one game that day. I am not 100% sure, but I cant ever recall the NFL having a full slate of games on Christmas Day. Everytime I can remember Christmas falling on a Sunday there's typically only one game that day (and on national TV) and the remainder of the slate is moved to Christmas Eve.

The AFC east will be a good barometer of how improved the cowboys really are after the off season.

I dont think so. I suspect Miami and Buffalo are going to be really lousy and we'll win both those games rather easily.

New England could be good again, though I thought alot of their season last yr was smoke and mirrors. The Jets could be really good or really average, they are kinda helter skelter depending on when you catch them.

The Giants do, however. This is good for us!!!

Never seen a Cowboys schedule released that I loved, but this comes close.

Always like opening on the road becasue of the extra time you get to prerpare for week one. Might as well be on the road. However I do prefer that road opener be aginst a weaker club. The jets will be tough, but WTH, at least we'll know where we are real quick.

No problem with the 1st two on the road or the trip out to SF for the 2nd one. SF sucks and we'll kick there ***. If we have to get back to back road games at least once, this is a good spot to have it early and against a dog for the 2nd game.

Don't like the week 5 bye, but it beats week 3 or 4.

Getting what may be our toughest road game after that bye is a break.

Love all the primetime games. We've done well in Philly in primetime.

Like that at NYG week 17 is our only cold weather game.

Seahawks to Cardinals is a nice 5 game stretch to pad the record an build momentum for the stretch run.

Love the late warm weather trips to Arizona and TB.

No problem with the Giants twice in three weeks.

Overall, a real good schedule.

Agree ,not a bad schedule
