I can't stomach how we lost to the Deadskins.

Biggest game of the year and we have our worst offensive gameplan of the year.

Plus we lost to a team that couldn't use the forward pass. Really sucks.

I'm glad I didn't watch the Commanders game as it took place. I purposefully did not watch any of it, preferring to check the score instead when the game was already over.

I did the same with the Giants' game, the 2011 season finale, where Dallas lost 31-14, too.

The setup of the Steelers highlight video is the greatest thing I've ever seen

Two things come to mind:

1. Dallas was almost 10-6, and almost 3-13.

2. When Miles Austin is healthy and plays well, this offense is WAY more explosive.

You purposely didn't watch the biggest game of the season against a divisional rival, with our playoffs hinging on the outcome?

Yeah, a bunch could have gone either way.

I can think of three losses without really trying that were decided by inches:
Giants at home
Saints at home
Raven on the road

So at a minimum the high side was 11-5.

I also noticed that other than the final game, protection was greatly improved late in the season.

That Brandon Carr interception was the play of the year for me.

The memory and sound of the cast is glued to my brain.

The things that stood out to me was;

Our OL was pathetic, Romo was under siege most games.

Our safety play was worse than the OL play.

There were some very untimely fumbles that cost us games.

Our defense had lots of problems tackling and recovering fumbles.

People give Austin lots of crap, but he had a pretty good season, and when healthy our offense is very potent.

Did I mention show pathetic our OL was?

It was both exciting and painful to watch those but here are my observations.

1. RUN THE BALL! we don't have to run it 70% of the time just run it successfully when we HAVE to. We've got to be able to control the clock to shut games out and put the defense in better situations. Romo cannot continue to pass 30-40 times a game. we're very close!

2. Once Dez hit the switch OMG! If he continues where he left off its going to be hell on opposing dbs. Guess who my first pick in fantasy football will be? :D

3. Harris needs more touches. wr core is shaping up nicely, they do need to work on catching the ball but they look good when firing on all cylinders.

4. I'm glad Ryan is gone! Yes, we need better players and they must execute but it's not like we've got a scrub-laden defense out there. Let's go Kiffen/Marinelli!

5. Carr was a great pickup. the cb position looks very nice for the next couple of years

thanks for that, brainpaint... as painful as it was.

the good:

dez is a beast, murray is hugely, witten is money, dan bailey is money, and dwayne harris stepped up and made big plays in big moments.

the bad:

injuries robbed this team of a few wins... but even before that, rob ryan's defense was nowhere near good enough. couldn't seal the deal. couldn't stop inferior teams. there was way too much pressure on our offense to put up lots of points... which only magnified its problems.

the ugly:

too many fumbles, interceptions, drops by receivers who were wide open, and terrible o-line play. this team played like the bad news bears, it was that inept. the seattle and chicago games, especially, almost made me puke.

on romo:

i love the guy, and i think most of the criticism he gets is ridiculous, but he deserves a lot of blame for the team's troubles last season. oh, he deserves a lot of the credit for its success, too. and, sure, there are reasons for his bad play -- but atrocious o-line and porous defense aside, he still can't make as many bad plays in critical points of important games as he did in 2012 and be considered elite. he was outstanding in 2011, and i think he can be that good or better again. frankly, he needs to get back to that level of play in order to take this team to the promised land.

What the Seahawks did to us should be illegal, that's a physical team vs. a finesse team.

Seahawks did that to a number of team during the year including other pass happy teams like the Packers and Patriots.

Heck they sacked Aaron Rodgers 8 times... IN THE 1ST HALF!

That SEA defense was really impressive last year. Fun to watch, when they weren't taking it to us.

I still think that game's a lot closer if it weren't for the ST turnover up front.

Make that two ST turnovers in the first two possessions, leading to 10 points for Seattle
