2012 Predictions?

Our offense is way too good for us to go 1-15.. Even if the defense was last in the league..

...i think you underestimate how crappy the cowboys can be when they decide to turn up the diarrhea.....

7-9 and miss the playoffs. The only solid move they made was Corner, but it won't matter cause Spencer still doesn't know how to get to the QB.

You know you have been a member of this board too long when you can look at certain usernames and predict the response before even reading it.

I agree actually. Especially last year when half the board predicted 10-6 or 11 & 5, only to end up looking foolish.

I don't think it will be much different from last year. The Cowboys will be within a game or 2 of .500 with around a month left in the season and have a chance to finish with a good enough record to make the playoffs. Last year I predicted they would be 8-7 and win their last game against the Giants...I was almost right, but quite disappointed to be wrong, obviously.

I was just glancing at the schedule and trying to guess how our year will go. I know it is too early for this but I was bored. I see this being another 8-8 year. I think we will be a better team this year but our schedule is EXTREMELY tough. So many games could go either way. Only slam dunk win games I see are Browns and maybe the Bucs at home.

The last 2 years I thought we were going to do real well. 2010 we were favored to win the division before the season started.. and then 2011 we had a CAKE schedule that we blew.

2012 looks dreadful but maybe the opposite will happen?

Home

Washington Commanders W
Philadelphia Eagles L
New York Giants L
Pittsburgh Steelers W
New Orleans Saints L
Cleveland Browns W
Tampa Bay Bucs W
Chicago Bears L

Away

Cincinnati Bengals W
Atlanta Falcons W
Carolina Panthers W
Seattle Seahawks W
Baltimore Ravens L
New York Giants L
Philadelphia Eagles L
Washington Commanders L

HOME:

Skins............win.......RG3 maybe a stud, but he will struggle as a rookie.
Eagles..........loss.......We dont match up good with Philly, too much speed.
Giants........loss.........G-men own us, we looked scared when we play them.
Steelers......loss........Big ben will rape this Charmin defense.
Saints........win.......without Payton the Saints are the Aints.
Browns.......win......we lose this game, we should pack it in for the year.
Bucs.........win........again, we lose this game and we are done.
Bears.......win.........this is one of those home team wins it games.

5-3 at home

ROAD:

Bengals......loss......Andy Dalton will rape this defense just like Big Ben
Falcons......loss.......will be surprised if we keep it close with Matty Ice.
Panthers.....win......all they got is Cam Newton, should be easy W.
Seattle.......win......not impressed with Pete Carrol so far
Ravens......loss.......In Baltimore, thats an auto L
Giants......loss.......Again, they own us and they know it.
Eagles......loss.......their team didnt get slower and we didnt get faster
Skins.......win........RG3 continues to struggle his rookie year.

3-5 on the road

Thus...............I am predicting another 8-8 season with a tougher schedule

So we go 1-5 in the division?:lmao:
Why are you laughing?

We were 2-4 in the division last year with both wins over the Skins. In both games the Skins missed FGs (one as time expired) that would have won them the game.

We very easily would have gone 0-6 in the division if the Skins had a kicker.

10-6 and possibly 12-4 with a solid draft....

12-4 with that schedule?

If Garrett pulls that off, they need to build a statue of him outside the Deathstar.:laugh2:

I was about to point out the same thing to him... thanks for beating me to the punch. The Commanders were pathetic last year and we were favored by like 10 or 14 points to beat them in Washington... and luckily their kicker missed a field goal that allowed us to come back and win. How much better will we be this year? How much better will they be? We don't do well chasing around fast QB'S(VICK) will RG3 be tough for us too?

Did you think we were going to have a better than 8-8 season last year? I sure did. With the schedule we have this year, 8-8 is reasonable. Maybe 9-7 or 10-6 if we knock it out of the park in the draft.

Yes I did and I think many things that went wrong players and coaches are correctable. Dallas set themselfs up in a great position to walk away with the division but failed to take advantage. I think they are capable of better.

Giants could not beat the skins period losing both. As for RGIII he may be good he might not be, he would not be the 1st QB taken in the 1st rd who failed. Already without stepping on the field you have him beating us?

As for Vick the object is not to chase him but contain him and many defense even some who ranked lower than us were able to contain him and beat him up pretty good and let not forget Eagles went 8-8.

I don't really care how others teams perform against other teams. I only care about how we perform against other teams. Last year the Eagles swept us, the Giants swept us, and the Commanders barely lost to us because their kicker sucked.

I've watched RG3 a lot and this guy is really good and is also super fast. I can see the team rallying behind him. The Commanders do have a pretty good defense. How he does in the pro's is anyone's guess but I'm sure it will be a huge upgrade from what they had before.

I have us beating them here in Dallas and them beating us in Washington. You think that is crazy or what?

I did not say any of your picks are crazy. I think Dallas has the talent to be better than 8-8 clearly we need to add more talent to the mix expecially on defense but given all the problems we were in position to do more than we did. I respect the ability of Eagles and Giants but sorry I think they are beatable and I think Dallas can beat them.

It is not beyond reason to think we can win 7 home games and win 10 or 11 total.

remember, last year we were a kick and a ball lost in the lights and a couple of bad interceptions away from 10 or 11 wins.

I agree.. we have the talent. It's the same thing every year though. We always have the talent. It just seems like we lack the mental toughness to play 4 quarters. Although we did have some good coaching changes this year, so perhaps that can make a good difference. Also having Demarco and Carr to start the the beginning of the season will make a big difference imo. We badly need a pass rusher or 2 now. I was just taking a look at the schedule and guessing really.... I hope I'm wrong and we are a MUCH improved team this year. Last year I guessed a 11-5 record. I was way off.

If i were a drinker, I could play a drinking game using the phrase "the Cowboys have the talent." No we don't--we have maybe 10 or so very good players. That's it, and that is not very talented.

We need to upgrade the OL and the DL and the secondary very badly--then we will be a talented team.
