2012 rookie class shines

Tyrone Crawford, Chris Jones, Dunbar, Wilber, Claiborne, Leary, Beasley, Hanna... lots of starters and/or solid contributors in a great win...

Just goes to show you can't judge a draft and rookie free agent class after one or two years...

Good teams stick with and develop their homegrown players... Gotta give credit to Garrett, coaches and FO for having patience...

This is a great point. I always said that if we were going to improve this season it was going to be getting something out of that 2012 draft. This is about that 2 or 3 year window where guys should start being reliable and you start to know what you have in your class. A few of those guys I was worried about but thus far those guys did look solid. I don't remember seeing Hanna though. But when you can get that much out of a rookie class? That's a major plus.

We all know success in the NFL comes in large part from stringing together good drafts and rookie free agent classes... and then maintaining continuity with your coaching staff...

I really think a lot of credit goes to Garrett... He doesn't seem to play head games with young players. He's very positive in remarks toward his players... It seems to
motivate them to get better... His whole mantra of stacking good days together seems to be received well... It's nice to see young players develop and accept their roles on the team...

The last really disastrous draft was way back in 2009... That's a long time ago... You can't say a rookie class stinks when 8 players are contributing for you 3 years later...
