The Comets have the most titles but they folded a few years ago. Detroit has the 2nd most with a 3-1 finals record so you might try following them. Hope this helps!

the detriot team moved to tulsa, oklahoma a couple of seasons ago. i would suggest following the san antonio silver stars.:)

I guess I'll pull for the Sparks (Candace) or the Stars (Local team)

I'll watch WNBA before I watch college men's basketball. Nothing like watching a collection of 18 year old one and doners pass the ball around the 3 point arc until the shot clock goes down to 3 seconds and the last one holding the ball jacks up a low percentage 3 in a 42-36 game. What an absolutely awful product.

i agree with college basketball being lame! and the bobcats would DESTROY last year's KU team, before anyone tries to claim otherwise!

It's true though. College basketball is incredibly overrated.

Perhaps, but to suggest that it is less entertaining than the WNBA? Preposterous.

I don't watch either one, but at least the WNBA play an aesthetically pleasing brand of basketball with players who have some familiarity with each other and the system they're playing in. Men's college basketball is garbage. Might as well just watch the McDonald's High School All-American Games, it's basically the same thing.

Women's basketball is an exhibition in turnovers and poor shooting technique. At least men's college players have real skill and athleticism and can run a fast break properly.

I've always wanted to see an average Texas 5A high school team play the absolute best WNBA team, because I think the high schoolers would run them out of the gym by 40 and we could put an end to this nonsense that women actually play "basketball".

We let women play baseball differently (softball) but for some reason force them to play basketball just like men do and the game simply wasnt designed for them. It's not like tennis where women can actually compete with men, basketball is a game which women simply are not suited for and it shows.

It is obvious that you are not qualified to speak on the quality of women's basketball. Women use a smaller ball and a shorter 3-point line, and the difference in the ball size is substantial if you have ever tried to shoot one of their balls. Compare WNBA and NBA turnover stats and they are similar, both averaging around 15. If you check shooting percentage you will find the WNBA is capable of producing the same averages as the NBA. Your dislike for women's basketball comes off as ignorant and misogynistic, I hope that is not true.

I am well aware of the differences in the size of the ball and the three point line. They also have no 8 or 10 second rule, and various other rules are slightly different. The point though is they are still playing a game based around the athleticism of men, and regardless of the ball size the basics of the game are still the same and women cannot perform them as men do. That is simply a biological fact. The best women's player in history would not start for a large championship caliber men's high school team, they simply lack to the raw athleticism to compete at that level.

For instance, softball is a completely different game than baseball. Women physically cannot throw like men do effectively due to their center of gravity and weaker shoulders, so they pitch completely differently. Women's basketball has no such modifications, the game they play is still based around the same skillset and actions. Women are not as tall, as fast, as strong or as athletic as men of comparable levels of play and basketball revolves around those abilities.

Yes, the "could boys beat the WNBA" debate has raged on the internet since the league was started. I'll believe it when I see it happen. There are some great women playing in the WNBA, and even though they play the same game as the men they do it in a way that benefits their own athleticism. They play with teamwork instead of isolating the superstar and they do it with a ball that is much easier to handle and shoot. Would you think it better if they lowered the rim and shorted the paint? No, you will never like it because it isn't in you to like it. You are just pouring out excuses to validate your hatred for something you never wanted to like.

I could accept its legitimacy as something different than basketball, yes.

I highly doubt any high school boys team would win, much less "by 40" against a team with Britney Griner, Candace Parker, taurasi and pretty much any 2 other wnba all stars. Women play "old man" ball, they have sound fundamentals. If basketball was all about athleticism Tim Duncan would be a horrible basketball player and the hawks would have like 6 titles between the 80s and today's teams
