Does anyone know anything about it? I don't want to get too far ahead of myself but I'm just curious if there are any stand out players that could fill any important needs of ours next year?

I think the main thing to remember is that this time last year the projections for the 2012 draft don't look much like what it's shaping up to be, except for a few obvious players like Luck, Kalil, etc. I'm sure Matt Barkley is projected to go early but a lot can and does change.

Very true

One of the strengths for 2013 draft will be the QB class, could rival the 83 nfl draft when 5 qbs went before marino, dan.

Supposedly could be as many as 5 QB in 1st round next year and 2 in 2nd round possibly.

There are some safeties that can play. TJ McDonald, Tony Jefferson, Rambo maybe, Robert Lester and maybe the JUCO kid that is at USC too.

Awesome link, thanks! Geno Smith and Matt Barkley's stats are damn impressive.

could be a very good pass rushing 34 OLB and safety class. Just depends on how this season goes and which underclassman comes out.

Jarvis Jones is a beast and a great 34 OLB pass rusher.

Also a chance to have some ery good OGs and CBs. The safety classs looks good too. I like the 2013 class if some underclassman comes out.

but again you never know because alot of players in this years draft comes from nowhere.

That's why I want 2 first rounders.

If we want a QB maybe we luck into a top 10 pick and get one.

If we don't want a QB maybe we can trade back for a lucrative package.

It is a short-term sacrifice to get the second first rounder as it means deferring our first rounder this year (dropping into the second after a couple of drop downs in the first initially would be my suggested strategy) but it would strengthen this team in the long run.

I actually think if we trade down into the top of the second and take a guy like Zeitler instead of hanging around and drafting DeCastro at #14 we are not actually seeing a huge downgrade in ability. When you put that in the context of an interior OL where individual dominance doesn't count for as much as it does elsewhere it makes sense to make this move.
