Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
Ezekiel Ansah was billed as a freak athlete, and he definitely lived up to that. Measuring in at 6-5, 271, Ansah ran a 4.63 40 with a 1.56 10-yard split. He also notched a 34.5-inch vertical. More importantly, Ansah was exceptional in the drills. Afterward, the NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah said that one team in the 15-20 range told him that they have no chance of landing Ansah. The BYU product will be a top-10 selection.
Tank Carradine, DE, Florida State
Tank Carradine was an impressive 6-4, 276 with 34 3/4-inch arms at the weigh-in. He won't be able to work out, but he gets a stock up for all of the positive buzz he has generated. There's some talk that if he checks out medically, he could sneak into the first round.
FEB. 25 UPDATE: Carradine continued to look good in Indianapolis. He recorded 28 reps of 225 Sunday. That's a pretty impressive number considering his arm length.
Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah has said that everyone has Sharrif Floyd in their top five, but I have to wonder if teams will be concerned about his arm length. Floyd had the second-shortest arms of all the defensive linemen (31 3/4 inches) at the Combine. On a positive note, Floyd (6-3, 297) measured in close to what he was listed at Florida. He was also as good on Monday as advertised. His 4.87 unofficial 40 was impressive, and he was dominant in the drills. He drew high praise from Warren Sapp. Floyd is considered a top-five prospect.
Johnathan Hankins, NT, Ohio State
Johnathan Hankins had one of the Combine's worst 40s, running it in 5.31. The 40 isn't a big deal for nose tackles, but Hankins' body looked very sloppy. Also, his 26 bench press reps were disappointing for a 6-3, 320-pound lineman.
