Due strictly to Jerry and Garrett and their either blithe disregard for defense (Garrett) or total mismanagement and building it backwards (Jerry).

Even with better than expected upgrades in this defense, the schedule is so brutal you still will not see a quantum leap.

Let me just say this - a Rookie is going to be our best pass rusher? Yeah...we'll see.

PFT power rankings have the Boys at 24th, which would probably mean they are looking at us having a bottom 5 defense. I know, it's just PFT, but as others trickle in they will probably be much the same. I'm looking for a reason to be more optimistic, but our defense just doesn't look any better than last year right now.
