Early in the season and on the road..

They've been good at home and late in the year since they put Clay at MLB

Hope they keep him there. I would rather him trying to go up the middle against Fred/Zack than outside against Parnell.

It also means he won't be covering Witten. And if he is, then he's not covering Murray or someone else.

I do hope the do not let Murry carry every time but put Randall in a few times.

Green Bay fans are screaming that they are much better against the run now and will stop Murray. Let me break down the rushing stats in Green Bay's last few games.

NE vs Green Bay

Ne had 18 carries for 84 yards. Blount had 10 carries for 58 yards average of 5.8 ( should have kept running this guy)

Atl vs Green Bay

Atl had 24 carries for 91 yards. Jackson 16 carries for 50 yds 3.1 avg Ryan 2 for 23 yards 11.5 avg Rodgers 3 for 20 yds 6.7 avg. Atlanta was so behind in this game that they had to go to the Pass heavily in the 2nd half.

Buffalo vs Greenbay

33 carries 113 yards. Jackson 20 for 71 yds 3.6 yd avg Dixon 6 for 26 4.3 avg Brown 4 for 20 yds 5.0 yd avg.

As you can see there were a number of rushes where they were gashed.
We run the ball more times than these teams and our OL is better. I think Dallas will use Randle and Dunbar more this weekend which gives us the breakaway threat on every rush.

In some games like the philly one the pack was so far ahead that team went away from run or would have put up more yards.

I think it's fair to say a big part of the Packers improvement against the run in the 2nd half of the season came simply from the fact that they were blowing people out and teams had to pass to try to keep up.

I hope JG and Line have the patience to stick with it even if we get down some points.

GB does not have a strong rush defense.
This is really a mirror match up between the two most similar teams in the league IMHO.

I could see this being back and forth then coming down to which QB has the ball last.

I do not see GB regularly playing Clay at MLB. If they do they are insane.
Our interior guys (and especially Martin) have blocked LBs great all year.
If Clay is at MLB, Martin will hand his guy off to TFred and go get Clay.

Both teams will game plan to control the clock and game.
Both QBs will be antsy and ready to take big shots down the field when WRs are in 1v1s.

The reason GB's run defense is improved is because they've been bringing a safety down to have 8 in the box. (http://www.jsonline.com/sports/pack...rnerbacks-coverage-b99418753z1-287430621.html)

They leave their corners on an island and to their credit it's been working the 2nd half of the season.

Except for when they played a dominant WR in Julio Jones, who lit up the Packers corners for over 200 yards.

Dez will prove his worth in this game. If he dominates, we win.

This is the key to the game (running the ball). Controlling the clock with the run and opening up playaction to Dez.

We will either win close, lose close, or we will blow them out. We will not go up there and get blown out.
