It wasn't as flashy as last season but they gave up the least QB pressures in the league and ressurected McFadden's career. As a unit, we rushed for 4.8....4.8 and the least QB hurries isn't a bad year. No need to all pile on arguably the only good thing we have going with this team right now.

Yes, if the line had performed the same and our record was much better, the first-team All Pro results would have been different. You can't help but reward players from teams that are winning.

What elements? This is the warmest year on record.

Wind. Rain. That type of thing.

The types of extra challenges that exist when not kicking inside of hermetically sealed, temperature controlled, windless, dome.

4 Cowboys made 2nd-Team AP All-Pro:

Left tackle Tyron Smith, guard Zack Martin, center Travis Frederick and kicker Dan Bailey.

Sean Lee tied for eighth at inside linebacker, which I guess makes him a fourth-team AP All-Pro.

And once again, AP voters show how clueless they are about which position players play. It's not even because Khalil Mack made the first team at two positions -- at least he actually plays both positions. It's because if the voters knew the players' positions, Mack likely wouldn't have made the first team at outside linebacker. He actually tied for the second OLB spot with Thomas Davis -- but that's because some idiot voter gave Thomas Davis one vote at inside linebacker. Except Davis doesn't play inside linebacker for the Panthers, Luke Kuechly does. The same Luke Kuechly who received 49 of a possible 50 All-Pro votes at inside linebacker. Unless that clueless voter gave Davis a vote at a position he doesn't play and would NOT have voted for Davis at the position he actually plays, then Davis would have been ahead of Mack at OLB, and the first-teamers would have been Von Miller and Davis, with Mack and Jamie Collins on the second team.

Seven other players also received votes at more than one position -- Fletcher Cox, Muhammad Wilkerson, Calais Campbell, Jamie Collins, Deone Buccanon, KJ Wright and Tyrann Mathieu.

We're not allowed to argue about kickers. It's football talk 101.

30/32, 93.8%, Long - 54
33/36, 91.7%, Long - 57

Interesting how Gostkowski got the nod over Bailey, it's really close. Bailey's on top if you're curious

Gost is the only one I will concede 1st team to. Bailey is one of the top two K in the league, that is a fact.

Martin started the year injured or he would have won easily.
Healthy he is already the best OG in football which is insane. And ?I hardly blowing smoke up his rear as I hated drafting an OG that high with all the other needs.
But he is outstanding.

Bailey is the best kicker in football. 91% is NOT close to 94%. They cut guys at 85%. But winning is a decided edge in all things.

Yanda is still probably tops if not equal, but as Muth put it, Dallas has 2 of the best 4 in the league with Smith and Martin.

Gostkowski had a game winner or two, Bailey only one though. Kind of hard to call a dead heat in Baileys favor if he didn't have the big clutch kicks.

Hard to have big clutch kicks when you scrape 4 wins together

Something would have been wrong if we had any first team pro bowlers

Exactly how it should be. No one on our team was consistent this year. Complete disappointment all around.

Forget that it was "only" 2nd team. The amazing thing is that 3 linemen made it from a 4-12 team.
