Dallas went from being 3 mil over the cap to being 25 mil under the cap.

And that's ultimately why DeMarcus Ware was released. He could total 30 sacks next year, but that still wouldn't get us $25M in cap space.

And that's WITH Romo's restructure and Carr's $12.7M cap figure. We're in good shape going forward.

i dont like they postpone the austin cut to post june. we should have eaten the hit this year.
it does not make a difference this year but a huge one next.

The team is currently shown with 37 players under contract in 2015 with a cap charge of $114.865773M.

The 2014 rookie class, I'm expecting 10 players to make the cut, will bring the '15 total to 47 players with a cap charge of $122.405773M

Miles Austin will save over $4M after adding a first year minimum salary to replace him ($118.405773M).

Doug Free and Kyle Orton will save $8.3925M when their contracts void after adding two first year minimum salaries in their places ($110.013273M).

And Tony Romo's contract is designed to be restructured again, which can create up to $12.824M ($97.189273M).

And the team will carry over any unused cap space from 2014 into 2015.

Dez Bryant and Tyron Smith will be on new deals, amounts to be determined.

DeMarco Murray, keep or let go?

There will be a couple of RFAs to tender as well.

But cap space shouldn't be a problem...

It's the same savings overall, either way.

It just comes down to when you want to get the most savings, after June this year or wait until next year?

Getting the savings this June will provide needed room for Dez Bryant's upcoming extension.

According to most around here, FA's are not needed and wasted money. There also will not be anyone worth spending money on. So what's the use of being so far under the cap, if all of that nonsense is true???
