1tech is an obvious position we have neglected for a while now which is owned by everyone's favorite player, Hayden.

For the record I didn't want to draft a DT in the first (yes even Malcolm brown) and I am still happy with jones.

With that being said here is the first year production of the DT's who received a first round grade for the last draft in no particular order.

Disclaimer: I'm not looking at schemes, where they were actually drafted, injuries, etc. these are just raw numbers for players that were projected to be taken in the first. You guys can draw your own conclusions.

regular season numbers only.

Those guys are rookies and will get better. While I'm not on Hayden like most here the fact is he isn't getting any better. That's his prime numbers there.

Leonard Williams had more everything stat wise them Hayden and almost all them had a sack which is 1 more then Hayden.

I have no problem taking a DT in the first of best player available. We can get it in the draft or free agency but DT needs to be addressed this off season period. We can keep Hayden as a back up rotation guy that's fine but if we want an elite defense we need a Kwan Short or a Brandon Mebane (is a free agent this season by the way) to plug and push the pocket.

I would love to grab a MLB like Myles Jack and get Brandon Mebane in free agency. .....I still would draft a DT though.

This team has to get seriously better at inside pressure...

This. We really need a player who can create pressure and can force a double team in the middle. That allows Crawford or whomever is playing 3tech to get one on one assignments. If you want to move Crawford to 1tech and draft a 3tech, that's fine too but those guys are usually more expensive and take a higher draft pick.

Good info! Thanks super cowboy

What is you point Op? Do those rookies get pushed around like a girl on roller skates?.raw numbers don't tell you the whole story for DTs.

I'm thinking that the Dallas scouting group already has a handle on those types of things...a lot of film review already on the books.

Im happy with that as well. 1 Tech or 3 take your pick just get us a talented, disruptive monster at DT

Man, I hate to talk negatively about a player who has given his all for the team...but defensive tackle needs a pretty dramatic improvement. Not just existing in the NFL.

We have 3 Black Holes on Defense, we get nothing in return from them

1T Hayden
FS Wilcox
CB Carr

We need to upgrade all 3 and we can do it in FA, save the draft picks for the shiny toys- QB, RB, WR

If things had fallen just a bit differently dallas would have aaron donald. That would have been nice.

You could have just linked to their NFL.com stats page. Would have saved you a bunch of time/work.
