Who is the one guy we can't afford to lose this year? I am going to list out 2 names all while knocking on wood (not naming Romo because he is too obvious). First, Tyrone Crawford, we aren't very deep at DT and after Crawford it is a lot of nobodies... sure we can maybe move someone in, but then they are playing out of position... not a good situation and secondly, Brandon Carr... and moving past just Brandon Carr, I am going to say end of last season Brandon Carr. Some people are ready to cut him but I think this defense could be screwed this year without him because we are so shallow at CB (even if Jones does play there which I don't think is at all set in stone). I could have went with Dez, but I honestly feel our offense could adjust to even that. I think if we lose either of these guys on defense we will be in trouble. Who is your guys' pick?

Not named Romo

1. DEZ

2. Fredrick

3. Martin

4. Tyron

5. Scandrick

6. Any starting safety

Nice understanding of positional value mixed with individual quality.

Now, here's hoping a revamped front seven can add some much needed pressure on the defensive side.

So I'm assuming you're implying that Martin will be the LT if Tyron were to get hurt (knock on wood)? I wonder if that is the back up plan or if Weems/Green would play.

1. Tyron Smith
2. Dez Bryant
3. Travis Frederick
4. Orlando Scandrick
5. Tyrone Crawford (due to lack of quality 3-techs on team)

Tyron Smith and Travis Frederick.

I think those would be the biggest losses for offense.

Sean Lee. I think that we've overlooked the impact he has on games because he's oft injured. I think we win more games last year with him playing. Losing him so much has severely hindered our ability to play quality defense, so for me, he's indispensable. Even though we've had to go without him so much, it doesn't change the fact that he's an absolute game changer.

That being said, this thread is horrible and should be burned. :p

Not named Romo:

1. Dez. No Dez and teams stack the line. With Dez, teams have to devote a safety overtop.

2. Gregory. Yes, I said it. This kid is going to make an early impact and get to the quarterback, especially with Hardy set to serve a suspension. Pass rush is what we needed to get to the Super Bowl. We've got it. By the end of the season, you'll see how invaluable he is to the defense.

If not Romo, it's got to be Dez. He opens up everything for the other receivers.

(And Adrian Peterson would do the same for Dez.)

everyone. Because we dont know even who might even step up and do a better job. No one is going to be that important other than he who shall not be named because we did very good wihtout a guy named Lee and idk oh yea Spencer because his awesome will never be duplicated and Dunbar, because his skill set is to much for the NFL. Some names we even know we have a great chance of losing, again Lee comes up and McFadden will most likely lose games.

Last year it was screamed we needed melton to make our FA complete and Rolondo and McClain i believe did well for us. In fact losing some players might be helpful as we will see how others emerge, another reason i despise how Dallas doesnt use the back up qb properly.
