2. Randy Gregory, DE, 6-5, 242, Jr, 4.76, Nebraska: Gregory didn't start off his junior campaign as planned. An "old" knee injury was aggravated in the season-opening game against Florida Atlantic and required a scope Aug. 31. Since then, he's been tough to handle, providing constant pressure off the edge. Gregory is lanky and needs to bulk up to remain at defensive end. From a two- or three-point stance, he's a natural pass rusher, with an explosive get-off, flexibility, long arms and active hands and the tenacious style of play that will endear him to coaches.

9. Todd Gurley, RB, 6-1, 232, 4.52, Jr, Georgia

15 Shaq Thompson, OLB, 6-2, 231, 4.56, Jr, Washington

17. Dante Fowler Jr., DE, 6-3, 266, 4.84, Jr, Florida: A talented pass rusher with experience at outside linebacker and all over the defensive line, Fowler is an intriguing athlete with range, strength and flexibility.

20. Eddie Goldman, DT, 6-3, 314, 5.28, Jr, Florida State

23. Shane Ray, DE, 6-3, 245, 4.54, Jr, Missouri

26. Markus Golden, DE, 6-3, 260, 4.72, Missouri: Golden doesn't show the rare athleticism that helped his teammate, Ray, emerge as one of the country's most exciting breakout candidates but he's a more technically sound player, demonstrating instincts, physicality and awareness.

27. Alvin "Bud" Dupree, DE, 6-4, 267, 4.63, rSr, Kentucky: The SEC's leading active pass rusher with 19 sacks entering games on Nov. 1, Dupree helped his chances at earning a first round selection by harassing the top-ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs with a game-high 10 tackles, including two QB hurries that resulted in big plays and another sack. Asked to rush as well as drop back into coverage, Dupree showed an exciting blend of length, burst and fluidity.

30. Benardrick McKinney, OLB, 6-4, 245, 4.58, rJr, Mississippi State

31. Danny Shelton, DT, 6-2, 323, 5.17, Sr, Washington

32. Shilique Calhoun, DE, 6-4, 257, 4.72, rJr, Michigan State

Just missed the cut:

Lorenzo Mauldin, DE/OLB, 6-4, 243, 4.73, Sr, Louisville
Michael Bennett, DT, 6-2, 288, 4.96, Sr, Ohio State
Cody Prewitt, FS, 6-2, 212, 4.59, Sr, Mississippi
Hau'oli Kikaha, DE, 6-3, 250, 4.74, rSr, Washington

Can I ask a question about modern day DEs coming out of college, is a guy who is 6'5 and 240lbs really going to be strong enough? And then if he can put on 30lbs, he isn't going to be slower?

I think the Browns took that one guy who was super skinny(LSU dude) and he has done next to nothing in the NFL. I am concerned about how weak and bereft of technique these modern day pass rushers are it seems like a guy who is huge and explosive and strong, plus has an array of moves is a myth nowadays.

TBH, Gregory has been pretty disappointing this year. Injuries have played a part, but at alot of points this season he has been handled 1v1 without needing extra help or a chip to block him. He still has 5+ sacks on the season, but blown assignments where Gregory was untouched played a part in a couple of those.

Really, he hasn't even been the best defensive lineman on his own team either. Maliek Collins has outplayed him by quite a margin this year.
