any thoughts on this upcoming WWE Championship tournament?

i remember when wrestling tournaments(mostly in a one day span) used to be long back in the territorial days. i believe a particular tournament(mostly for a championship belt or sometimes a car) lasted longer than a Wrestlemania PPV. i bet some fans got bored and sleepy when the tournament ended around 10 or 11pm.

I'm guessing in the end it's going to be Reigns vs Ambrose with Reigns winning and then those two start a feud afterwards for some reason or another 'cause someone will think that's a money making storyline.

Honestly, very disinterested in the product now with Cena out. The US Championship Open, tag division and the women's matches had been the three things I was enjoying. New Day are still entertaining but what happened to the PTP or the Dudleys? And they teased NXT type women's matches just to give the same old petty jealousy, cat fighting BS we've been subjected to since the creation of the Diva's division. And jeebus Del Rio is boring and I can't understand why they gave him the US Title.

Then out of nowhere, HHH "my time" theme plays thru the arena and it's HHH with hair extensions comes out with a sledgehammer in his hand. He has a mic and says the heels of today can't replace Rollins except for the person that made him and it's our time. But, if he is going back into time, he is bringing some friends with him. The music plays again, he points and here come Chyna. He points again and here come HBK. He points one more time and here comes Sheamus with briefcase.

HHH says he is now a full time performer and manager so he has to drop his position. He says that Sheamus is cashing in and the match is a no DQ. Chyna, HBK and HHH comes down the ring, beat down the winner, HHH uses sledgehammer multiple times and Sheamus wins and does crotch chops. HBK announces this is the new DX and they are taking every title in the WWE and humiliate the WWE. Vince comes out and asks what HHH is doing and out comes Jim Ross to see what is going on. Jim Ross is shocked what he sees as he sees and grabbed the sledgehammer being bent. Vince says he is humiliated by his actions and then out of nowhere Jim Ross hits Vince with the Sledgehammer as he does crotch chops to end the show. DX DX DX lol

Just bored on a Friday but a swerve has to happen and I think it should be Reigns. His moveset isn't for a face.

I know but just having that theme play would just be epic by itself. I thought that was the best HHH theme and those years were his best. Survivor Series would need a big time swerve because this PPV card looks pretty bad.

Yep. Stupid to destroy the Wyatt's like that. It just ruins their credibility to have that go on like that.

With all the injuries piling up I'm not shocked that they had Sheamus cash in. Now they'll have him and Reigns feud while Reigns tries to regain the title that he'd just won. It'll be a fantastically boring feud that will be absolutely awful.

But with Orton, Rollins, Bryan, and now Ceasaro all out with injuries, and Cena out on leave for personal time they're running into a whole lot of issues with the story lines they're wanting to go with being forced to go another direction due to all that.

From what I've read their entire WrestleMania card, and build up, has basically be completely thrown out the window with many of these issues, and leaves (Rollins, Bryan, Orton) and then on top of that they had planned to have The Rock facing HHH at WrestleMania and that has had to be scrapped due to the movie The Rock will be filming at the time. For insurance reasons they will not allow him to take part in any physical match or activity at the show. The Rock is still scheduled to be there, in a segment capacity but won't be able to wrestle, or face HHH, as planned.


There was even some thought to having The Rock and Ronda Rousey face off against HHH and Stephanie.


It's looking a lot like WrestleMania is going to be a very weak card this year.

He has been absolutely unwatchable since his return. This new look, and attempt at being a bad guy (which he was at least decent at before) has just been awful.

Couple that with the fact that he's going to feud with Reigns makes it even worse cause Reigns is absolutely so boring.

Ehhh....I doubt it.

Lesnar got beat his last couple of fights, pretty badly actually, and they gladly brought him in to be a beast there. I know it's a little different because he's been a wrestler before and he was going to be working with them more than a match but they'd likely still use Ronda cause she'd still be a huge draw.

Yeah he's gonna have it at least a few weeks and my guess is he'll carry it till at least the Rumble at the end of January.
