2016 Defense first to limit the opposition to less than

Correction: we have fans who think the other team should never complete a pass, and when it happens they blame the first guy they see on the TV screen (who may or may not have even been responsible).

That's exactly right.

This defense did a wonderful job at minimizing the 20+yard completion. Yeah they gave up underneath stuff but receivers were getting tackled quickly.

I'm really happy with how the defense has evolved this year. Especially with the emergence of David Irving.
I thought Irving could be an impact player but at times he has been completely dominate.

Some bulk stats are skewed like the number 1 run defense, and 28th pass defense.

But by most measures that matter, Dallas is pushing for a too 10 defense this year.

Yeah, passing yardage overall doesn't mean a lot to me just because the Cowboys were ahead so often that teams gave up running the ball very early in games.

Yet the national opinion seems to be that this defense still sucks. Nobody earned pro bowl honors.

I think we embarrass someone these next 3 weeks. I just hope it's the giants

But i've been told on this site the defense isn't any good because it doesn't get more than 20 takeaways. Also have been told the only reason they look this good is because the offense holds the ball. Not the case at all it seems. Give it up to these guys and Maranelli. They've played incredibly hard for him. I won't lie i've never been a fan of Maranelli or his defense and i'm not even sure if i'm a fan now. But my goodness.........the job he did with this unit from last year to this year was remarkable.
