If they are truly completely committed to Romo starting for another 3 seasons, there's no chance they go QB at 4. That's just my read on it. I'd probably be more willing to take a QB and sitting him but I don't think that's what will happen.

I don't know why other than our owner is a complete moron who doesn't know a thing about building a football team. Even if Romo plays another 3 years, if the evaluation on the player you draft is right, you would have an emerging franchise QB on the roster ready to take over. A player seasoned with three full training camps and preseasons. No drought. No down years. No time living with the have nots desperately searching for a QB. That alone is worth the 1st pick in any draft. I'd trade any player on this roster for that right now. Tyron, Martin, Dez, Swaim (I'd want a pick back), you name him.

I've already made arrangements to get all sharp objects out of the house that week. I can see this coming a mile away.

I think you hit the nail on the head and you and I have bantered it back and forth. It just comes down to their evaluation. I don't think there is any chance that Jerry, Stephen, Garret and McClay pass on a QB if they grade one out as a future franchise guy and he is there at #4. I think Jerry wants immediate impact, but I don't think he is blind to the important of planning for the future either. My view if they don't take a quarterback at #4 is that they didn't value any of them that high.
