While its fresh on our minds lets go ahead and do a 2016 Re-Draft. Post what you would have done in each spot. Seems like everyone is un-happy with the results. Would be fun to look back and see if any of us would have done better than what we got.

No trades. They didn't trade this year so draft in the positions that they drafted in:

RD 1 #4 - Ezekiel Elliot- I loved the Elliot pick and wouldn't change it. I'm not high on Ramsey in Dallas due to the fact that his best position is Safety but would have played Corner here.

RD 2 #34- Noah Spence - I have faith in the Jaylon Smith pick but its too risky for me. Never know how that nerve will respond. I pass on Myles Jack for the same reason, injury. I go with Spence and turn him loose.

RD 3 #67 - Jonathan Bullard - This is the pick Im not as sold on for the Boys this year. Maliek Collins could turn out to be a decent player but I was high on Bullard. I considered him in the 2nd. I'm ok with double dipping on DE with Spence and Bullard for obvious reasons. Cant count on Gregory or Lawrence right now.

RD 4 #101 - Joshua Perry - No need to go Tapper here so I take an athletic LB from Ohio State who went the next pick after ours.

RD 4 #135- Dak Prescott - I'm a Prescott fan. You cant teach the leadership traits he has. Not to mention the confidence he has in himself. May never be a star, but can develop for a few years and at the least be a decent backup in the league.

RD 6 #189 - Kolby Listenbee - Hate that they passed him up in the 6th. World class speed and may have broken all 40 yard dash records if not for the hip injury. Local Arlington kid.

RD 6 #212- Anthony Brown - We drafted Brown at 189 and hopefully he would fall down to 212. Like his speed and strength at the position.

RD 6 #216 - Kavon Frazier - Ok with this pick. Seems like a decent Safety prospect. Pass on the RB Jackson here. We have enough of those.

RD 6 #217 Scooby Wright- Would have passed on Rico Gathers and tried to get him as an UDFA. Scooby has injury history but he's tough as nails. Old school Middle line backer type. He's worth giving a chance.

Hmmm. I agree on Bullard over Collins. He is great at stopping the run and he can be a good pass rusher from the inside.

I too really liked and wanted Perry in the 4th but Tapper has the potential to a long time starter at right end so ill go with Tapper

I don't think Brown falls to 212. Supposedly he had a 4th grade and they was surprised he lasted.

really don't know what to say about our 2nd round pick. Its such a big unknown at the moment.

I think the big one is Bullard over Collins in the 3rd. Which would then make Tapper un-necessary in the 4th. We could have went many different ways in the 4th. Billings? Perry? Pharoh Cooper?

So the risk of Spence being busted for drugs vs. the risk of Smith not recovering from injury? Either way, you're taking a risk.

I'm not saying I'm opposed to taking a risk on either, but there are those issues there with both.

My problem in the second round is that we really weren't in a sweet spot for not taking risks after Ogbah and Dodd went off the board unless we didn't take Smith, Jack or Spence.

The "safe" pick would have been ILB Reggie Ragland, but he didn't represent the same value as Smith or Jack. We could have deviated and taken a player like Xavien Howard or Sterling Shepard instead.

Spence is nowhere near as good as Smith, assuming Smith recovers from the knee injury. It's not even close. Given the fact we already have multiple druggies on the team, we can't afford taking another guy with addictive tendencies.

If we were going to take that risk, I don't think we would have done it in the early second (although I guess that's obvious since we didn't).

4. Jalen Ramsey SS - I don't love the player, but he is the most talented guy available. I would move him to SS. We would have our safety duo set for a decade.
34. Noah Spence DE - I understand the risk, but the guy can get after the passer.
67. Maliek Collins 3T - Like the pick. Trust mcclayy/marrinelli on this one.
101. Kenneth Dixon RB - Will Elliot really make that much more of an impact in our offense than Dixon would have?
135. Zach Sanchez CB - Rock solid corner, kid makes plays.
189. Cardale Jones QB - His upside is far greater than Prescott's. I just don't see how Prescott is an NFL QB. Jones may not be one either, but I know Dak isn't.
212. Aaron Burnbridge WR - Nice WR, really came on strong last year.
216. Darius Jackson RB - Nice pick, kid seems to have huge upside.
217. Rico Gathers TE - This kid is built like LeBron James. He will never be able to block, but neither can Jimmy Graham. High risk/ high reward at pick 217.

If Dallas had this draft, the first 5 players picked would make an immediate impact.
Safeties would be set for a decade, secondary as a whole would be improved.
Pass rush, and the d line as a whole improved.
Running game improved.

Collins is made for the Tampa 2 defense similar to the running back we got from the skins Alfred Morris and his skill set with the Cowboys Oline.

Switch Frazier for Jeremy Cash and Wright for Darius Jackson and I am on board. Was not a fan of the Collins (or Frazier) pick either.
