This is just a quick rundown on the production of our draft picks this year.
  1. LVE: 140 tackles. Pick #19 First Round. 10 Games started. Made Lee a backup. Front office and scouts absolutely crushed this mid-late first round pick.
  2. Connor Williams: Pick #50 Second Round. Played in 13 games. Started 10. Came in weak. Seems to have improved as the year has gone on. Looks like a reliable starter if he adds strength in the off season.
  3. Michael Gallup: #81 Third Round. Played in 16 games. 33 (20 in games 9-16) receptions for 507 yards. 15.4 average. 2 touchdowns. Really seems to be coming on. He's 6'1" and over 200 pounds, too. I really like this kid as a #2 going forward.
  4. Dorance Armstrong: #116 Fourth Round. Played in 15 games. 1 start (Jax). 13 tackles. .5 sack. Looks like he could be a solid rotational player. I keep hearing people that are high on him. I think he's been fine, but I haven't seen more myself.
  5. Dalton Schultz: #137 Fourth Round comp pick. Played in 11 games. Started 7. 12 receptions for 116 yards. Seems to have been passed up by Jarwin, but seemed to get better as the year progressed. Decent backup.
  6. Mike White: #171 Fifth Round. No stats. He's being hidden on the roster only as a secret weapon and is the great QB to ever wear the star. /s No telling. I actually love the pick. Late round. Low risk. Time to develop. I'd take QB's every couple of years at least.
  7. Chris Covington: #193 Sixth Round. Played in 5 games and had 1 tackle. He's got a mountain to climb to be able to contribute if Sean Lee is only a backup. Which is AMAZING considering what our LB core appeared to be last July.
  8. Cedric Wilson: #208 Sixth Round comp pick. Hasn't played in a live game yet.
  9. Bo Scarbrough: #236 Seventh Round. Cut in October. Went to Jacksonville practice squad. Just signed by Seattle...I can't imagine why.

So, looking at the draft, I'm personally beyond satisfied. Your 1st three picks all look like starters with one of them looking...well...like people will be using the phrase "the next LVE." At least three of those picks will be contributors in the playoffs this year. You've got potential left in rounds 4-6.

Our rookies had a great 2018 campaign and this isn't over yet.

Title should have obviously said "Picks"

I type like a drunken monkey

Yep

no draft is perfect, but this was still real solid

Btw, Ced Wilson had a season ending injury in late July

Fwiw, I like the Colts draft the best, but ours is decent

Our 2018 draft had a good first year. But I always need to see at least three years to really judge. That 2016 draft looks really good now with three years of evidence.
