So UVa finally wins something and you become pompous?
Did they suck before then?
So one play here or there in the overtime title game last year and Texas Tech and a Big 12 team wins. So that makes all the difference?

Im an ACC fan, but I’m not blind

I’m not even talking about Virginia dude. I’m saying the ACC has had multiple teams win the b-ball tournament over the past 5 or 10 years.

Has the Big 12 sucked this decade? How many championships have they won since 2000?

Which Big 12 teams have more wins than Virginia over the past 5 seasons since you want to bring it up?

And why are you chiming in my conversation with Mr. Know it all?

I’ve never, ever said the Big 12 was better than the ACC in hoops.
All I did was give them some credit for being a decent conference, top to bottom.
That is an obvious, non debatable fact...imo. Im willing to give them that.

I have nothing against the Big12. Just don’t think one year makes them better basketball conference. You also made it sound like I was talking trash because we won. I didn’t like that. I would be surprised if UVA made it past the sweet 16 this year because they lost too much. I don’t have rose colored glasses.

I went and looked at team recruiting rankings, lottery picks, and national championships over the past 5 years and nothing supports his argument. So if either of you have some info to back it up I’m all ears.

Nothing irrational about my argument at all.
Big 12 has become a monster BBall conference.
It's arguably been better than the ACC for the best conf the past 2+ seasons.
It's defintely had the better non-conference records.

Was never a power historically even when Kansas was Final four every year but has become one.

Winning a national title doesn't make a conference a power broker.
That's nonsense.

Top to bottom quality teams who compete twice a week make it a great conference for the sport.

No one is championing Gonzaga's conference.....

He has lost his mind now because Virginia can't win a game.
I was calling them the best team in the country LAST year before even he did... rofl.

Big 12 has highest SOS of ANY conf and yet won 76% of their non-conf games.

but 2018.
1. again /Big 12 slightly edging ACC

Again in 2018 big 12 had highest SOS and won 77% of their non-conf games.

well 2017.

2. Big East
3. ACC
6. Big East
Big 12 was only 2nd in SOS but won a whopping 83% of the non-conf games.

LMAO at the idea of the Big XII being a better basketball conference than the ACC, other than this year.

Non conference SOS is going to be higher for Big XII schools b/c so many of the teams in the conference are bad that they need them to get quality wins to get in. ACC the past 5 years has been so deep that you can just get them in conference play and don't need a difficult non-conference schedule. It's just about as ridiculous as the Big XII being as good a football conference as the SEC.

The ACC has had 4-6 terrible teams in basketball the last 3 years at least.
That's simply nights off for good teams.
The Big 12 has been really good top to bottom for a while now.
Teams finishing 7th and 8th in the Big 12 make deep NIT runs.

I am trying to educate you dummies but you refuse to actually read or learn anything.
Then in a year when it is proven 100% accurate you just cry that I'm mean and a know it all. ROFL.

Yea but you referenced non-conf wins.

So does the Big XII...it is not good top to bottom. Their .500 teams would be .250 in the ACC.
Teams finishing 7th and 8th in the ACC are 6 seeds in the tourney lol. Cuse finished 10th in the ACC in 2018 and went to the Sweet 16. They beat TCU, who finished 5th in the Big XII.

You literally can't educate anyone that the Big XII has been better than the ACC b/c there is nothing to substantiate it. It's a good basketball conference...it's not even close to the ACC.

The top 5-6 teams of the ACC are preposterously good.
At least 5 (Duke, UNC, Louisville, UVa, NC State or Syracuse) of them have won the whole thing in the last years or so, and an insane 4 of them in a just the last decade or so.
Its so absurd.
Does any other conference even have 2?

If you list the best programs in modern history, the ACC has 6 of them. SIX!
And 3 of the top 6 winningest all time.

They ARE down this year, though even then, they may end up with a Final Four rep or two.
If someone wants to argue that the bottom isnt as good as other leagues lately, I won't argue. 14 team league doest help but not a total excuse.
