One year, one year left to take advantage paying a starting QB pennies. If we don't see any major additional cap space this year, I'm guessing it's not going to happen. Bottom line, this time next year, we're likely preparing to resign or tag Dak. Either way, the price tag will likely be a min $20M and we can kiss that small window of cap space from cheap QB goodbye. What a wasted:banghead::banghead:

5/31/2016: Signed a four-year, $2.72 million contract. The deal includes a $383,393 signing bonus. 2018: $630,000, 2019: $720,000, 2020: Free Agent

Not a trashing Dak threat but how the FO is close to wasting the advantage of his cheap cap space.

We could wait two more years to re-sign him but if he has a great year this year we will likely want to lock him up.

Actually, I think they did the same thing with Romo......2007 was his breakout year. He signed a new deal 2008.
