I keep seeing comments that Kamara and the Saints dominated the Cowboys DTs.

Two inside runs by Kamara over 4 yards just does not point to the Cowboys DTs being dominated.

He didn't gash us with gaudy statistics, but it helped the Saints to have ball control nearly 3/4's of the game.
4.1 yards per carry, while limited to 17 carries keeps the drive moving.

New Orleans didn't have a 100 yard WR either, but they still beat us up.

Their top had less to do with any offensive efficiency, and more to do with our 3 and outs and penalty’s.
They had ONE good drive. It was a big one, but the legend is far from the truth

No, the time of possession was primarily because the Cowboys offense didn't hold the ball long enough.

Each team had 9 possessions.

That is 18 total possessions which should average out to 3:20 per possession.

The Cowboys offense was only over the 3:20 number on 2 of 9 possessions.

Without the Zeke fumble, the Cowboys would have had the ball with a 1st and 10 and 41 yards to the endzone.

That's a 58 yard field goal attempt from there. Even gaining 8 yards would have given them a shot at a 50 yards attempt.

Because of the fumble, the Saints got the ball back with 1:30 remaining in the 1st half.

Even if the Cowboys didn't score, the Saints would have been out of time and would not have made that field goal at the end of the half.

The most likely outcome without the fumble, was a Field Goal for the Cowboys and the half would be over.

That would be a 6 point swing in the favor of the Cowboys.

If the Cowboys scored a TD then it obviously would be a 10 point swing.

Analytically the biggest swing play of the game was witten's fumble. It was 3.10 epa

The defense did its job, Marinelli says "Hi,,, dumb-*****"

The offensive failure was epic,,, surprised that the zone headhunters haven't been after Columbo.
