2019 draft class

Lol Joe Jackson has better career stats than Hill. Hill has .5 in 3 seasons. He's a bust
Lol, yeah I'm just desperately trying to find a silver lining here. Hill is a bust. I agree with that. I didn't even know Joe Jackson even played a game.

But how can you bash a draft class that drafted Michael and Joe Jackson? I guess it wasn't a thriller of a draft and that's why we beat it out of the playoffs. Aha, get it. Yep I'll be here all week folks, please tip your waitress.

That's typically the standard lol. You get a 6th round pick to start games for you that's normally a good thing lol.
That 6th Rd pick only started because our safety position has no talent and has sucked for years. Wilson is a poor man's Jeff Heath

2019 Draft Class
1(27) Amari Cooper WR Alabama
2(58) Trysten Hill DT UCF
3(90) Connor McGovern G Penn St.
4(128) Tony Pollard RB Memphis
5(158) Michael Jackson CB Miami
5(165) Joe Jackson DE Miami
6(213) Donovan Wilson S Texas A&M
7(218) Mike Weber RB Ohio St.
7(241) Jalen Jelks DE Oregon

@Risen Star , sorry man, but I gotta think about my likes too....lol

Cooper is gone, Hill is a bust, Pollard is a part time player...that's a horrible draft class

This happens more here than people will admit.

So what's your standard for a 6th round pick? He should be a All Pro?
Wilson is what I expected him to be, a JAG. I mentioned Hill, Pollard, and Cooper specifically. Honestly, after round 3, I don't expect much. You ended up mentioning Wilson so I had to call that out, playboi!!

He actually doesn't have better "stats" then him. He has more sacks...also played more games than him and a different position.
Hill has played in a total of 18 games and started 5. Jackson has played in a total of 20 games, started 0. Not a big difference, especially since Hill has gotten more playing time

I'm not going to pretend that I have watched Jackson play to tell who's better. I'm just refuting your claim he has better stats. From what I see he doesn't.

That's what I'm asking you though. WE had no 1st rounder. So for a 2nd round pick what is YOUR standard? I'd agree Hill is a bust but at the same time I never expected much out of him anyway. To me Wilson, Pollard and McGovern have shown they can play some good football IMO.

Hill has 25 total tackles for his career and a half a sack. Jackson has 25 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, 1 pass deflection, and 1 fumble recovery in less playing time. I'm not saying Jackson would be any good if he started, but I think he'd be more productive than Hill has.

I expect a second rounder to be a solid starter, and contribute to the team. Hill has done neither

You think Joe Jackson would be as productive at defensive tackle?

I think Joe Jackson would be more productive as a DE if given the chance to start, than Hill would be as a DT if given the chance the start.

WRs available at the Amari Cooper pick #24 who were taken soon after:

Marquis Hollywood Brown the very next pick
Deebo Samuel the beginning of round 2
Mecole Hardman early round 2

Then DK Metcalf and Terry McLaughlin shortly after your 2nd round pick had you not just spent your 1st on a WR

Don't forget JJ Artega Whiteside.......

No disagreement there....but Pollard and Wilson have. And Amari Cooper for sure has.
Pollard and Cooper sure. Wilson hasn't been solid or contributed much, Dallas just throws anybody at that position and hopes they can start. Heath was more productive than Wilson
