Sometime, most likely the week of the 15th, probably the 16 or 18, as it seems to be on a Tuesday or Thursday. The 2019 schedule should be released. Usually we get some leaks and rumors about this time, but so far nothing.

The only thing we know for sure is it will be GB at Chicago to start the season, and NE will host the SNF game.
At least we will be playing on a Sunday, unless they give us one of the 2 MNF games.

We know we play the AFC East and NFC North. Same for the entire NFC East teams.

The differences are the same place finishes of the NFC West.
so here is the only differences if someone wants to say it is a 1st place schedule that it is a harder schedule. Not really all that much harder. 1st game listed is home, 2nd is away.

4. Giants, have Arizona and TB
3. Commanders, have SF and Carolina
2. Eagles, have Seattle and Atlanta
1. Cowboys, have Rams and Saints

But as we know teams change from year to year, but we do have a bit harder teams, as they were the top 2 NFC teams. But the Eagles is not that much easier as those teams can be good, and even the Commanders can be a little hard, as SF was playing better and you never know with Carolina. TB could give the Giants a game

Unfortunately we have stumbled in recent years when we have a first place schedule.

There is no denying 2019 is an odd year and odd years have been odd to the Cowboys. Add that no East team has won the division back-to-back in 14 seasons does not bode well for the Cowboys in the mumbo jumbo department.

No question that before the season begins the Cowboys have the tougher looking schedule since most have LA and NO at the top of the NFC power rankings right now and NYG has the easiest. But these preseason power rankings seem to get "adjusted" as the season unfolds. Not all is as it seems right now.

I never worry about the schedule based on previous year records. Why? The records change yearly and an injury or two can change the entire complexion of a team. When I look at the Saints, I would say yeah which team, the previous two or the one that went 7-9 for three years running. The Falcons? Again which team, last years or the two previous. Life is like a box of chocolates.... never know what ya get until you bite into one

Since the re-alignment of the NFL, all 32 teams play 4 games vs. 1st place teams, 4 games vs. 2nd place teams, 4 games vs. 3rd place teams, and 4 games vs. 4th place teams. Based on the prior season order of finish.

Arizona and TB will both be better. TB more so than arizona.
SF has bulked up on defense and gets the Mighty G back. Cam had shoulder surgery and should come back stronger. Those teams both lookin g tougher.
Seattle is always tough. Atlanta is well atlanta probably same as last year.
Rams and saints might be easier than last year depending on draft.

Wow major disparity between top two schedules and bottom two. Hopefully the Giants and Skins rack up some meaningless wins against those poor teams.

Can't wait to see Sean Payton wearing Cowboys gear next season....
Please no never. He already showed how horrible he is during last season's playoffs I want a coach has not been scrutinized some of the teams left over fired coach. Give me somebody new with innovation.

I wouldn't mind catching the Pats first game. They sometimes start slow and they won't have truly figured out life without Gronk yet. I'd rather play them first than play them in December.
Garrett teams usually don't play well to start the season. Most of that is because he doesn't want the starters playing much in preseason. Usually when Garrett doesn't win the first game of the season he makes the playoffs so if its the Pats it doesn't hurt us in the NFC.

I have yet to see us come out of the gate and play solid football. It's like another pre-season game extended. Totally agree I for one would like to see his play solid football right from the beginning. Get a step-up on December. Your easiest games are usually the first ones. Because they're in the same situation. Everybody wants to rest their starters in preseason

The whole point of the thread was to highlight how little of a difference a 1st place vs 4th place schedule is lol I don’t think having a 1st place schedule was ever the direct cause of any recent season failure.

Perhaps not directly but certainly a contributing factor.

Meh, we gotz um right where we wanted um. no matter whom we face, a playoff run starts with winning against the better teams.

This one though should be ok. We play Washington and NY x2, then we play the AFC east. Im counting 7 easy(ish) games without even digging into the schedule.

But I agree we haven't had back to back playoff seasons in forever.
