2020 NFL Draft Sleeper Picks At Every Defensive Position

I think Van Jefferson immediately starts as a highly effective slot. To me that’s a steal in the 3rd round and we’d be extremely lucky if he’s there at our pick.

Washington (6'2/305) was a solid run-defender for the Red Raiders over the last few seasons. Zierlein notes his "dirt-dog" personality, and notes that he can both set the edge and press on the inside. "He's got a lot of love in that building," an NFL Scout for an NFC team told the analyst. "He's got a naturally violent playing style that is going to translate into the league." The concerns come as to whether he can help as a pass-rusher, but Washington has a high-floor as a two-down defensive lineman, one who likely goes off the board early on Day 3.

I have been talking about Davis for weeks now. He is a little on the short side, but he is strong and quick.

I also like Garvin, Wilson, and Robinson.

EDGE: JONATHAN GARVIN, MIAMI

DEFENSIVE TACKLE: BRODERICK WASHINGTON JR., TEXAS TECH

LINEBACKER: LOGAN WILSON, WYOMING

CORNERBACK: REGGIE ROBINSON, TULSA

SAFETY: KENNY ROBINSON, WEST VIRGINIA/XFL
Great list and idea for a thread. Here are a few more to consider:

Safety Julian Blackmon after the top six safeties he'd be worth a look
DT Benito Jones not sure if he's a sleeper but I wouldn't mind picking him
Edge Alex Highsmith small school big production
LB Davion Taylor small but fast developmental LB
CB Javaris Davis (he's short but fast with good coverage skills similar to Amik Robertson and could develop into a starting slot corner)
