Why do people still look at the schedule for next year?

It's been proven to be wrong so many times to look ahead like that.

All you have to do is look at the NFC West this year.
Your first place finish ended up pairing you with the Rams - the 3rd place team.

That's why it's not worth tanking to try and manipulate next year's schedule.

Why we play the saints so much?

are we moving to the nfc south soon?
Lol, that's exactly what I said. We play them every year it seems. NFL should just go ahead and make them a division rival at this point .

Seems the Saints and Packers are always on the schedule. No matter where each team finished in their divisions.

Lately we seem to play the Seahawks a lot too.

You keep finishing in the same rank within your division.

You could theoretically play the same non-NFCE NFC team every single season.

Before too many people chime in.... The schedule gives an equal opportunity to play all teams the exact same number of times... and the home/away location is split exactly half and half for ALL teams.

Yeah the schedule this year has actually been easier than expected. A decent coach would be at 9 wins already.

We have to play the Ravens, Rams, and Hawks away? Along with the Packers or Vikings possibly? Lol. I hope our new HC can turn things around quickly, or this team will likely not be ready.

This new HC will have to change not only the schemes and playbook, but the culture and attitude of our players in a single offseason. That's asking for a lot.
It has to begin somewhere. I would fine with 8-8 next season if the new coach had full control and you see the team improving and not looking so unprepared or unable to make in game adjustments. It takes time to repair a sinking ship.
