The Cowboys have been quite good at drafting and developing players. No team hits on the draft every year. The biggest problem the Cowboys have is what they do with their players after they get on the roster. Complete incompetence with roster and cap management.

So is your argument that a team that is known for not spending in free agency also doesn't draft well?

McClay makes recommendations he doesn't draft anyone. Jerry gets lots of inputs leading up to the draft from many sources I would gander to imagine. So we will as fans never know who won the sweepstakes in warping Jerry's mind in order to draft their boy or if Wildcatter Jerry pulled the plug on his pet player. Anyway no matter who drafted these players it is safe to say it was a colossal fail with a sprinkle of success. LVE wasn't a miss he just broke down.
