1.
Terrace Marshall Jr.
WR , LSU
2.
Zach Wilson
QB , BYU
One of the hottest prospects in the country, Wilson has strung together quite the resume. After a subpar sophomore season that involved shoulder and thumb surgery to the throwing portions of his body, he looks healthy and taking advantage of the team’s favorable schedule. The Cougars quarterback has a very live arm that’s able to put pressure on defenses at all three levels of the field while also having the improvisation skills necessary to make plays right when escaping outside of the pocket. Of teams that have played three or more games, Wilson has the best completion percentage (78.3%) in the country among FBS signal-callers to go along with 1,928 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and only one interception.
3.
Christian Darrisaw
OT , Virginia Tech
The Hokies haven’t had an offensive lineman drafted in the first round since Duane Brown in 2008, but Darrisaw will be the strongest challenger in quite some time. The nimble 6-foot-5, 315-pound left tackle has been everything the team thought that he could be since starting as a true freshman. With scouts wanting to see more of a mean streak and physicality from him in 2020, he has firmly answered those question marks halfway through the season.
4.
Jaycee Horn
CB , South Carolina
Playing as well as any defensive back in the country, Horn has managed to massively help his draft stock this season. Arguably the best single-game performance for any prospect this season was his output against Auburn, where he accumulated six passes defensed and two interceptions, which happened to be the first of his career. The Gamecocks cornerback is a long and physical player at the position who isn’t afraid to come up and challenge wide receivers at the line. His combination of patience, twitch, and awareness have helped him put his draft stock squarely in contention to possibly be a first-round draft pick.
