We were ready to buy high on the upside of Barmore this summer based on the flashes he showed in 2019 as a rotational defender for the Tide. After all, Alabama doesn't rebuild, they simply reload. But Barmore didn't make the Quinnen Williams type of jump that we thought was possible when we projected him as a potential top-30 prospect back in the summer time. Barmore is having himself a fine season, but it isn't the level of dominance that you'd expect from a first-round caliber defensive lineman from Alabama. At least not yet, it isn't. And with Alabama's biggest test already passed thanks to a win over Georgia (at least until a potential appearance in the College Football Playoff), Barmore won't have many more opportunities to really move the needle.

Hamsah Nasirildeen

Nasirildeen hasn't been a flop on the field, he simply hasn't been able to get onto it. Yes, we've seen a slow start to the career of another hybrid safety/linebacker courtesy of Isaiah Simmons' struggles in Arizona thus far this season, but let's not overreact and diminish the value of defensive weapons and versatility! Other players, such as Carolina's Jeremy Chinn and New England's Kyle Dugger, are flashing as perceived similar players to what Nasirildeen can bring to the table. But he's going to have to get cleared for action after a knee injury ended his 2019 season prematurely and prove that he's still the same versatile, explosive weapon that we saw for the Seminoles last season before receiving a potential boost in stock.
