2021 Practice Squad Rules

Did not know if ok to post here or in the Roster Zone.
But since cut downs are looming. I put it here.

Pretty much same as last season, but seems to be a few items added to protect players from getting poached.

16 players, and up to 6 can be vet players, same as last season.

I like the 16 players, I hope they make this permanent. I think the CBA had it going from 10 to 12, then eventually to 14, I think, can't recall right now.

They can protect 4 players each week. I wish this could be more, or for longer, but then again. I understand it would be holding a player back to get on an NFL roster otherwise.

Glad they up to 6 vets as well. Gives those guys a chance to hang around

16 is great for the players. Alot of players that would have been on the street or in Canada collecting an NFL paycheck.

Ya, for the longest time you saw older guys that still wanted to play but were on the street because their vet min was too expensive

Also with keeping 16 players, teams tend to stick with their own the beginning of the season. Making it less likely PS players get poached.

For players like Fehoko, Mukaumu, Kamara, is why I think they will be ok to get to the PS.
