Gotta go 6-3 in our first 9 because those last 8 are harder. I could see us going 4-4 in the last 8.

And yes... I agree we need an extra bye week. With 17 games, there's gonna be games we lose just because we're over fatigued, or mentally lapsed.

We play at NO the Thursday after Thanksgiving. Then 10 days off.

Key word "as a fan". These players would love an extra bye week. So would the coaches. An NFL season is grueling and taxing on the body. Adding an extra game is going to water down the schedule even more. The only reason sports leagues increase the game is for revenue and money. Every single league could do its product a favor and scale back the season.

Yep. College used to be 10 games. And of course, money drove them to now have 12.
