I'll repeat the intro from previous weeks....
I did this the last few years.
It pretty much delivers the league MVP every year.

Don't get too worked up over this. Just data.

Combine and average the QBs' rank of the following two categories and tally.
  1. Differential: Total TDs (Passing/Rushing TDs ) - Total Turnovers ....This reduces bus-driving a little bit
  2. Standard NFL Passer Rating

This is where we stand after 14 weeks (13 games)

  1. Hurts (MVP candidate.....his plus 27 Differential is great)
  2. Mahomes (MVP candidate.)
  3. Tagovailoa (MVP candidate??)
  4. Burrow
  5. G Smith
  6. Garoppolo ( I may remove him in a week or two)
  7. Allen
  8. Goff (rising)
  9. Herbert
  10. Lawrence (rising up the charts...hopefully we bring him down to earth this week)
  11. Cousins (rising)
  12. Jackson
  13. Brady
  14. Rodgers
  15. Dalton
  16. Tannehill
  17. D Jones
  18. Carr
  19. Prescott
  20. Fields
  21. Mariotta
  22. Murray
  23. Brissett
  24. Heinike
  25. R Wilson
  26. Stafford
  27. M Jones
  28. Rush
  29. Mayfield
  30. Z Wilson
  31. Mills
  32. Ryan
  33. Pickett
Players not included due to not of enough games played:
Darnold, Purdy, White, K Allen, Huntley, Rypien, Trubisky, Watson, McCoy.

Perfect definition of mediocre, and look at the teams he has played against. All under 500 I believe. oh yeah the Vikings. sorry.

We have an opportunity to halt Trevor Lawrence's 5 game streak of no ints this week.
The dude appears to have turned the corner. I think he had 4 TDs and no turnovers last week
Hopefully, we make him regress some this week

Still 4 games to go, but if he finishes this low ( I honestly assume he will not) it would be the lowest a legit Cowboy starting QB (not backup due to injury) has finished since Quincy Carter in 2003.
:omg:

To be fair, he's only played 8 games. If you have a positive differential you should move up. Not sure about the passer rating though. Quantity doesn't necessarily help or hurt that.
He's 22nd in differential and 14th in passer rating. (19th in QBR if anyone follows that stat)

I don't really care about Lawrence, I'm sure Quinn and the lads will challenge him.
What we need to do is figure out where we get a QB next year. I think we need to grab a 1st rounder. Let him challenge the Dakster.
Nobody can seriously support a QB who has failed against sub par compilation.
You can blame KM, but he IS LIMITED in what he can do.
I had Daks jersey as my avatar for 2 years. Then the flaws began to show.
Thec cat is out of the proverbial bag.
Every defense in the nfl sees Dak's weaknesses, I'm afraid as the competition stiffens in the coming weeks it will become obvious.
Our only hope is to move Dak around in an effort to give receivers 5-6 seconds to get WIDE open. Even then, he still has to make throws.
Good luck to us.

Wilson really should have been MVP in 2015. Cam played on a better team and that's what won it for him but Wilson played lights out.
Shout out to Romo in 2014

You could save yourself the trouble and just look at QBR. Dak is 19th in QBR as well, though the top guys are in a slightly different order

Trevor rolls against our 4th rd, less than mediocre QB! Jacksonville will succeed because of all the 3 and outs that Prescot will have a hand in! Look for Parsons to implode after Jacksonville takes it to his defense...................We may witness a first, watching Parsons beating Prescot to a pulp on the sidelines because of his lousy play and more importantly all the interceptions he's going to throw..............LOL!!!!!!

I hear you.
Still, QBR doesn't work as well than this combo overall, imo.... especially when we're trying to pick the MVP

QBR by itself can "occasionally" spit out some really weird results at times.
I mean, in 2017 QBR had Case Keenum as the best or 2nd best QB in the entire NFL.
:laugh:bizarre
