Shultz is the average TE we see in today’s game. There are just a very few elite ones currently in the league. I would draft another and move on from him in the offseason

Shultz is just another in a long line of Cowboy Wussies. Players on our time don't like to block or tackle. They just like cashing Jerry's checks and smiling on
social media.

I think TE will play a big part in this game, I would expect to see Cowboys getting all 3 TE involved in the game with a lot of 2 TE sets to run and pass out of

This is the result of how the Cowboys use a good TE. No schultz isn't breakaway great or elite, few are, but he is good and they ask him to do the exact same thing they asked of witten. It has more to do with how they use TE's as a whole. When he leaves they will have fergy running these same security blanket routes unless they change OC's.

Step outside the bubble of hate that is this forum, and you'll find that Schultz is very highly regarded. He's a really good player. Not spectacular or game-changing. Not elite. But he is smart, runs good routes, catches well, and is consistent. He's a dependable, proven TE. Cut him if you want to save some money, but now there is an empty spot to fill, with no guarantee production will be equal. Yes, it would be nice to have an elite TE, but this team certainly has a lot of other more pressing needs.

I like Shultz but he is a FA, Dallas has Jake Furguson and Hendershot who have looked good at times. I think this team is in decent shape at TE as Furguson and Hendershot continue to grow and develop.

Kind of puts it in perspective how good Witten was. Easily the best TE in franchise history.
There have been a lot of really good to great TEs in Cowboys history, and Old Man Witten is at the top of the list.
