This is set .....for now but what about when Tyron misses X number of games.

Tyler Smith, ????, Biadasz, Martin, Steele ( ????? = draft pick or free agent vet? )

Clearly they need a future left side starter either at G or T. Also, heard they want to prepare for Martin's replacement sooner then later. Drafting an interior lineman makes a lot of sense, just not in the 1st rd as they aren't going to have a 1st rd pick sit on the bench.

Me likey, Hawkeye! Let's hope we'll draft a promising OT and Guard/C for depth.
There's nothing like a great OL to win with! A monster DT would help, too!

Agreed. I would expect OL drafted between rounds 2-5.

I think they still need a C/OG and a tackle. It’s almost like they are trapped with Tyron and Steele. It might be the perfect time to draft a developmental LT, maybe a guy with talent that needs a year to bulk up. Another RB would help too. Id also try to do whatever I could to make the pass rush even better, get a LB or DE so you can keep Parsons at ILB.

If the Eagles do that ridiculous QB sneak, I’ll probably curse, but I don’t really think beefing up the DTs will help with that.

I believe they need to get a mauling gaurd in free agency or the first 3 rds of the draft. So in week 2 when Tyron is on IR Tyler can go back to LT where he belongs and the rookie can step in at LG. I’d be happy if Tyron was the swing tackle. To think of him as a starting LT at this point is ridiculous.

I dont claim to be a draft guru but unless robinson is there at 26 Im drafting the guard out of florida with pick 1 unless its too early.Perhaps we could trade back a few spots. maybe the guard from TCU is a target but we need help on the line. I have 0 faith in tyron and Im not sure when and what Steele well get

I don't know about the rest of ya but Tyron's injury/durability issue and contract seem as if it wasn't taken as seriously as it should have been.
Same with LVE.
Good to excellent players "when" available.

Guess I'm just more skeptical based on players' past history than how this Front Office thinks.

Would have been 2 more players to move on from but maybe that should have been considered.

I dont like the idea of sticking with Our Guys past their effective date. Cutting a player a year early is always better than a year late imo.

Just me I'm sure.

Fans seem to forget Josh Ross and Matt Waletzko at OT. Appears team still hopes Ross can be a swing OT although IMO he looks more like a bust and to tall for OG. Waletzko had some good things and probably would have gone higher in the draft if not the shoulder problem. All reports on him is that surgery was very successful and he is now stronger and quicker. As to Ross, it is a make or break training camp for him. He was dominant in college and if he regains that form that is a huge plus and gives options on the line.

There were those "experts" during last year training camp that thought he had a chance to beat out Steele for RT. Could be interesting to see how they view him in training camp.

Another forgotten soul is Issac Alarcon who has been around now 4 years. He played OT and OG in camp and few months ago the "experts" believed that he could be the 2023 starting LG. At 6'7" and 320, seems to be a bit tall but maybe not. Seen comments and heard on some of the talking heads on radio that he is looking like a guy to watch in training camp. If so, nothing but good news for the OL.

Best case for the Boys, Waletzko is the player they thought and can start or be a swing OT, Alarcon is the dominant guy in training camp and wins the LG spot and becomes the hopefully long term solution at LG.

Be nice to see the starting OL be Smith, Alarcon, Biadasz, Martin, Steele with Tyron, Waletzko, Farniok (OG/OC), draft pick OG/OC.
