They are the same player. Wilt in big games especially come playoff time. Not made for the moment.

Romo could have been great, but he sold out to Garrett's pass happy, undisciplined offense and self destructed, taking the Cowboys down with him. No running game, just pass, pass, pass.

About who's better between Dan and romo. Dak now has what Romo had. A scrappy line, a wr and a te.
Well this OL isn't as bad as some of the ones that Romo had to play for. I remember many years ago they had a video about the NFL Gutsiest performances which included Emmitt's playing with a separated shoulder, Ronny Lott amputating his finger to play, and if it was filmed later should've included Romo playing with a punctured lung. That was the lowest the offensive line in Dallas had ever sunk. So this line has to sink a lot further for people to say that Dak played with a line just as bad as Romo did. And even when romo was broken, he was still more illusive in the backfield than Dak is now. I mean who gets surprised when there is a bit of pressure and Dak takes the sack?

Except Romo became way more fragile than Dak, although there is still time for Dak. But if Romo got hit the way Dak got hit yesterday, Romo would have 12 broken bones.

Romo was better but anyone who thinks he ever played with less talent - or did more with less - than this current Cowboys offense is kidding themselves.

In 2014 - his best year - they had 3 legit wide receivers, Witten hadn't yet turned entirely into a scarecrow, and Murray ran for 1800 yards. Only time Dak has had that level of talent was 2020 when he was on pace to throw for almost 6000 yards.

That might be true his final season, but Romo did get hit a lot harder than Dak did. We forget he had the worst offensive line in team's history. If Dak got some of the abuse that Romo took, there is no guarantee that he could take some of the hits still that he does.

Romo had two sets of good lines here. The Gurode, Flozell, David era and the Tyron, Frederick’s, Martin era.
One of the topics of the day was how fast his first line went from good to bad. A good line can become depleted fast. And lets not forget that Flozell earned the nickname Flozell "False Start" Adams, where he became a liability because of being undisciplined

Romo could not get it done ......by the time he really understood how to play the position his body was being held together by duck-tape and twine.

Dak, if he would have played like his first few years (very conservative, protecting the ball, and not caring about stats) who knows, but this new checkdown King, Deer in the headlights, throws multiple interceptions a game Dak will not.

Comparing them is useless ......... both failed spectacularly in totally different ways.

How bout we see if a QB , that the rest of the league coming out of college thinks can play, does in a Jerry Jones led Football team ...... its been 35 years since we got one of those.

But im getting tired of this debate tbh, doesnt really serve any purpose
