Jerry Jones talked himself into a corner 30 years ago when he declared that any one of 500 coaches could win a superbowl with his team. He is extremely reluctant now to change coaches because if he does and the new coach wins a superbowl, the new coach will get the credit. He would rather lose in the playoffs than have someone else swoop in and get credit that he thinks is his. If he hangs on to the coach he has and they win a superbowl he can claim they won because of his roster building that gave the coach the players to win. IT IS HIS EGO that is the persistent problem. And to think, I used to laugh at Al Davis and the Raiders. It ain’t funny now.
