Penix went 8th overall. He’s a 2nd-3rd rd talent. Where he goes isn’t really relative. What he does in the nfl is more relevant. He won’t be a franchise qb

Dak, if healthy, keeps this team competitive so they won’t be in a position to draft a top QB in 2015(not that Ewers is one).

Ewers isn't trash, but he isn't living up to the hype thrust upon him. After he played against Alabama in 2022, there were some proclaiming he would win the Heisman in 2023 and be a 1st round pick in 2024(if not first overall). I don't see him a great QB. Maybe he can be a servicable NFL starter/backup, but so far he hasn't shown anything close to be considered a top NFL QB in my opinion.
