2025 NFL Trade Value Chart

Trade 12 to Steelers for Pickens and 21. Draft Omarion Hampton. Net Pickens and Hampton for pick 12. 2 birds with 1 stone.

I asked this in another forum, I'll put it here also

Question for those of you who want Jeanty really really badly (and I'm not saying I wouldn't take him at 12, I would). Draft value chart basically says picks #12 and #44 gets us to Jax's pick #5 (maybe we throw in a sweetener like a 5th and 7th also) which is right in front of the Raiders. Would you do it? I just can't make a case in my mind for doing that. I wish I knew who'd be there at 12 and 44. Maybe in retrospect after the draft I would, but I wouldn't do it if offered during the draft. It's too much for me personally.

Next question. Let's say the Raiders pass on him. I don't know if the Jets or Car would take him without trading a current player. So now what if he is still on the board and the Saints are on the clock at 9. I don't see any way he gets past the Bears so he isn't dropping to us IMO and you have to get in front of Chi if you want him. So do you give up pick #12 and #76 (our 1st and 3rd rounder) for #9 and #112 (the Saints 1st and 4th)? That becomes a little more interesting to me. I probably would be ok with that if the team loved him. But now you have to be ok knowing this team will very likely take WR at 44. So you are getting 2 skill position guys and no one else until the 4th round. Dak friendly as it gets

No and no. No reason to move up for anyone in this draft. Enough holes to fill the Cowboys need more picks not less.

The second hypothetical (because that is all they are of course) scenario wouldn't result in less picks but could be the difference between Jeanty and Hampton offset by an early 3rd vs an early 4th

Not only no, but hell no.

There is no one worth trading up for in this draft. The Cowboys aren't one player away. They need all the draft picks they can get.
Just from reading Daniel Jeremiah's big board, seems like it might not be a bad idea to trade #12 all the way back into the the 30's (assuming one of the few really studly players doesn't fall to 12) and throw lots of darts in rounds 2-5.
