This post doesn't pertain to the Cowboys because there isn't anyone smart enough in the Cowboy organization to figure out how to operate under the CAP system.

Come on, it comes from flipping the switch on the Dak, and Lamb contracts which is already written in and from signing Parsons to a new deal. They can sign any player that they want to sign. To say that they can't is total bs.

This is a loser's mentality. Yes the Eagles have the most talented roster, outside of QB, this century. However they are going to be losing some players in free agency and injuries happen. The best team does not always win the Super Bowl. You build the best roster you can compete and let the chips fall where they will. The best roster the 49ers can build is with Brock Purdy at QB which is why he is going to be the highest paid QB in the NFL by the end of the offseason.

Worth and cash aren’t the same thing. Worth is what all your assets are worth. Cash is what you have when you sell those asserts. Jerry could have plenty of cash but he doesn’t want to sell assetts

You can’t even be a NFL owner and not be cash rich. I’m not sure if it’s even possible. I think with Jerry it’s a matter of what he wants to spend his money on and to this date whether we like him or not he has found the money to spend it on what he wants.

Actually, its what the Eagles themselves did with Wentz, evaluate the player moving forward. If your QB cant get it done on a Rookie deal, he's hardly able to do it on market setting money when his CAP hit effects the quality of the roster around him.

Granted that Purdy has shown more (or at least not the weaknesses Dak has shown in play-off performances of late), BUT, paying him 20% more of the CAP will mean he's needed to make up the deficit, im not saying he cant, but he has to develop. The haul in prospects MAY be an attractive option as successful models are turning to: .....if you dont have an elite QB, go young and bolster your lines (indeed bolstering the O-line will aid the QB).

This is what has got the Cowboys in trouble in the past, no way do you mess with Prescott's contract! Cowboys have to get rid of this bum as fast as they possibly can and extending or turning part of his contract into bonus money is only going to hurt after he is long gone.

Don't play with Prescott's contract! Have to get rid of him as fast as humanly possible. Don't extend and don't bring bonus money into the conversation, it will only create A DEAD MONEY problem...............

Good Lord, they aren't extending him. What they are doing is already written in his contract. They have no problem.

To be honest Jerry is under so much pressure to sign guys but IMO it’s not a great year for FA’s. The top DE is just an above average guy in Sweat and Milton Williams (DT) didn’t even start and they are gonna get huge deals. No big time corners, RBs etc. This isn’t the year to go big.

Just taking baby steps and signing a couple of solid starers in week 1 of free agency would be nice. Gotta stop waiting until everyone is signed and sifting throng the trash left. We have obvious holes at positions that can be filled with reasonable contracts in free agency…OG, 1 Tech, LB, S

Yeah but that’s not really cash poor though. If you need money you can get it. Jerry like most rich man are constantly making money off their cash. So I can’t really buy the excuse Jerry doesn’t have it to spend. How he handles his money should be no different than how anyone else rich does.
