2026 NCAA Football Season

This is Phill Steeles SOS figuring - he is usually pretty good

Kind of makes your claim really look dumb

Notre Dame's schedule is unbelievably soft but it is what it is. P4 going to 9 conference games leaves few good OOC games to find.
Tech is in the same boat begging for big games. They were trying with both USC and Notre Dame before they renewed their series.
USC demanded a game in Vegas and then a home game in LA, Tech offered a game in Houston then a game in Vegas. USC took the ND renewal and walked away.
UT couldn't get TV approval to back out of ND match up so Tech couldn't get that game.

It is going to get harder and harder for Notre Dame to get enough P4 games to qualify for the CFP.
The Big 12 is talking about going to a 10 game conf schedule because SEC and Big10 aren't offering many future OOC games.

Definitely a concern however, there has been some chatter in some of the SEC and BIG corners of incentivizing teams to play tougher schedules and adjusting the CFP selection criteria, etc.

It will be interesting to see where this all goes in the next 3-5 year with the push for a larger playoff format, etc. There is an above zero chance that at some point, ND may have little choice to join a conference if eventually the big conferences just decide to play slop in their OOC games.

I can't believe LSU and Kiffin want to die on this hill with pro players coming back. I mean Kiffin is a villain and this fits right in with him, but still.

It will be interesting to see how the SEC continues to try to combat this.

You can’t fix stupid.

And that’s what Kiffin is.

I was a bit surpised to see Colorado pulled out a road win at Ga Tech.
14-13 after the Buffs blocked the winning FG attempt. 2nd "miss" of the game by GT's touted FG kicker.

Not that the "Wreck" is a great team, but they are fairly solid at home, usually.
Nice job, CU-Boulder

wrong
There will be enough games
But Notre Dame cannot lose more than one game a season and safely make the playoffs
besides, the Irish can openly call out Alabama and others and challenge them.
Some of them will take them up on it
the idiots that think they have to go to a conference are fools
What happened last year was pure corruption and all know it

I enjoyed watching every minute of this Colorado - Ga. Tech recap!

If the Irish don’t crap the bed like they did last year, they will make the playoffs. They always hold their own destiny in their own hands. No one to blame but themselves.

SO James Madison should have made it in before Notre Dame?
you keep dodging THAT
Alabam lost three gams and were destroyed in the Conference Championship game
you keep running from reality

I don’t give a crap about James Madison, Alabama, or any other team.

Irish fans used to feel like they should earn things.

Now, at least some, feel like they deserve special recognition and treatment.

Yes, or no… If Notre Dame took care of their own business, would they have made the playoffs? And if they don’t crap the bed again this year, will they make the playoffs?

Quit worrying about other teams, and start worrying about your own.

So James Madison earned it according to you
that makes you the worst possible source on College Football

According to the rules that were in place last year, JM unfortunately earned it. (flawed rules but they were what they were)

The playoff committee agrees with that assessment.

Now let it go, and hope that your team doesn’t crap the bed 2 years in a row.

Be like Elvis, and “Take Care of Business!”

Corruption is your element.
tell me why the Ivy league champion did not get a bid?
The committee is the one that suddenly promoted a slumping Alabama team
The committee is the one that said Alabama getting spanked in the SEC Champ Game
did not matter when they used the results of other such games to figure ranking
I love how bad you look defending this

ECU Pirates going into the Lion's Den at Alabama.

Already not looking good, they just found out their top WR is out for the game.

yikes

Oh well...Go Pirates...with all the massive blowouts already this weekend, try to keep it remotely close

bama's got another one.
rb ej crowell.
he'll join the legacy of great bama backs.

their defensive front keeps getting pressure.
bama probably wins but their defense will make them earn it.
