I think some had him rated as a second-round value, and if we liked him better as an ILB candidate than some of the ILB candidates available, I could see this. We don't have any ILBs with his size, including the one we just traded for.

Dallas is also probably dead set on having Downs in the slot. I would play Downs at SS, I don't think PJ Locke is a starting saftey. He is a stellar ST player though.

I think Parker will play more split safeties than SS and FS. Downs and Thompson will be in those roles when we are not in nickel. Then, Downs will be in the slot and Hooker probably will come in.

I just don't think we believe we need a slot corner with Downs likely to play the slot in the nickel or Jalen Thompson. Looks to me that we need one more guy who can play outside. We've got Bland, Revel and Durant, but I'm not all that comfortable with Steward, Carson, Bridges, etc., behind them.

I think Downs, Thompson, Durant and Bland could all play slot if needed.

:hammer:Think you nailed it.....With Downs....they think they don't need a slot CB. My thinking is.....If your gonna play a with a single high safety.....I want Downs and Scott playing inside with Thompson as the single high....Right now.....You got Hooker playing down too...Not a big fan. He can be isolated and targeted...He's never been that great in coverage to begin with.
 
Sorry for being inactive tonight. I was in fursuit at the draft. Full suit. They let me wear the head. And the people in Pittsburgh are nice from my experience. It's not just at AC. They were nice to me again today. Then again.....my fursuit may have won them over lol. That said, I love our picks.

Did you go to the main area. How was it. Were there alot of cowboys fans.

And what's especially cool is how many people wanted pictures. That's one of the fun things about public fursuiting. And even Eagles fans were complimenting the dedication of wearing a fursuit to a draft (I was wearing a lot lol, but I'm a furry so that's part of the game)

Yes, I was at the main theater, and there were quite a few Cowboys fans. In fact, the fan that wears the Cowboys sunglasses and sort of taco hat looking thing got a picture with me while I was in suit. My fursuit (had a Prescott jersey over it) was a hit with Cowboys fans of course

Just assuming a fair build up of heat and not a lot of ventilation happening!
