Draft Day ***2026 NFL Draft First Round Thread***

What was the story with Cashius Howell and Zion Young? I've always seen them above Lawrence.

I also would have thought the following would have been above Lawrence:
CB Chris Johnson
CB Colton Hood
LB CJ Allen
LT Caleb Lomu
S Dillon Thieneman

How bad is Jermod McCoy's injury situation? There was a chance he was going to be the 1st CB taken. I liked Johnson a lot.

Hope you guys are right on Lawrence.

Bane, Measidor, Styles, to name a few.

Look, I"ll give the guys every chance to prove me wrong, as always.

But why can't we pass by players with injuries and those who need "development"? I remember drafting guys like Parsons and Martin, highly ranked players who are NFL-ready.

Not so much this draft.

The cowboys got this with Caleb Downs.

He is NFL ready and is going to be a high quality safety from day one.

There were no players left at 20 that fit the same mold. This isn’t a deep draft for elite players.

Styles went 7.

I've heard some hype about Lawrence here on this site... I think some of the Dallas media was hyping him as well. Other than that I've barely heard his name. You guys sure this isn't a bit of a reach?
A lot of people were mocking him in the 3rd but after the combine, top or mid 2nd.
As we got closer to the draft, there were a lot of whispers about the 49ers and Pats drafting him in the 1st.

That’s why I wanted Bain first and Thieneman second….Bain would have added more rush than Lawerence and Theineman not as good at Downs but he’s still a dope middle fielder who can play slot. Think the rush would have been better and safety with Thieneman plus Thompson is more than enough to make safety way better.
Exactly.
Heck I'm hoping they're actually still pursuing some kind of Crosby angle at edge.
At least freakin re-sign Clowney for gosh sakes man.
Then one of these days that little bitty hole at 2nd level offball linebacker(green dot type) might be addressed too unless all the eggs are in the basket of the oft injured Overshown, lol. At this stage I won't be shocked.
They went from no d tackles and safeties to plenty.
Now it's no edge and no linebackers.

smh

Just the opposite son.
Hahahaha keep telling yourself that. Multiple people have now mocked you in this thread over your comment and zero have come to your defense.

Seems like a patten with you.
