George Pickens Tagged and Traded... to the Jets getting back the first they lost in the Big Q trade and a 4th.
Picks are a projection of where I think Dallas will finish next season. The Jets pick they get, is actually where Green Bay finishes next year. 20 is GB's pick in this scenario. Jets finish 4th worst so pick 104 is what they give up in the 4th round.
20T- WR Nick Marsh (6'3, 210) Indiana... big X WR to replace pickens. Best player at Michigan State. Transfered to Indiana and should put up some stellar numbers this year with Josh Hoover throwing to him and a good cast around him.
25. DT Will Echoles (6'3, 315) Ole Miss... reminds me of Kenny Clark and that's who he will be replacing in 2028. Drafting a Defensive Tackle a year early is the way to go. It usually takes them a year or two to reach their NFL potential.
57. WLB Cade Uluave (6'1, 235) BYU... Overshown just signed Mulageta as his agent, he's likely gone next year. Uluave was a tackling machine at Cal. He will probably be one of the Butkus Trophy finalist next year.
89. RT Lance Heard (6'6,335) Kentucky... Steele will be cut finally and this will be his replacement. I think he would beat out Nate Thomas for the job. He has the longest arms ever almost 37 inches. Transfer from Tennessee.
104T- QB Nico Iamaleava (6'6, 215) UCLA... Hasn't produced like all the hype that surronds this guy says he should. Still needs to fill out a bit, but he has all of the traits you could want. Can sit and learn behind Dak for a year or two.
No 5th part of Pickens trade with Steelers was a 5th and 6th round pick swap. We'll say Steelers finsihed 10th worst that puts the pick they gave Dallas in the 6th at around 191.
191. FS Dwayne McDougle lll (6'0, 205) Nebraska... Hooker is out of here next year. This guy started at Junior College, Transferred to Idaho(FCS) and then up to FBS with San Diego State and he has improved at every level each year. His final step is the Power 4 conferences and with his trajectory I think good things are in order at Nebraska.
206. G Emmanuel Poku (6'5, 325) South Carolina... Kojo is his Nickname. He was ECU's best Olineman for all of his 35 starts with the team. We'll see if he can still dominate with a step up in competition. Bass replacement.
241. MLB Caleb Bacon (6'4, 240) Penn State... will be a nice backup to Barham. He was slated to start in 2024 but got injured and missed the whole year. Finally got his chance this year and put up solid film at Iowa State. He followed Matt Campbell to Penn State. I trust Campbell to make this guy into something; such a good coach.
I know everyone will want a RB. I think it can wait 1 more year. Still got Williams for a few years and Blue should be better this year. Mafah and Leupke are fine as breather backs. My favorite RB if they decide to go that way is Jadan Baugh (6'1, 230) Florida... I have him as a fringe 1st already as a Junior, if he goes back to school I would take him in the first in 2028.
