Quick refresher on how Dallas has done in the NFL playoffs since winning the last Super Bowl championship in 1995:

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/dal/playoffs.htm

1995: Won the 5th Super Bowl title vs. Pittsburgh

1996: Beat the Vikings in the Wildcard round, lost to the Carolina Panthers in the divisional

1998: Lost in the Wildcard round to the Arizona Cardinals

1999: Lost in the Wildcard round to the Minnesota Vikings

2003: Lost in the Wildcard round to the Carolina Panthers

2006: Lost in the Wildcard round to the Seattle Seahawks

2007: Lost in the divisional round to the New York Giants

2009: Beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wildcard round, lost to the Minnesota Vikings in the divisional

2014: Beat the Detroit Lions in the Wildcard round, lost to the Green Bay Packers in the divisional

2016: ???

Dallas has made the Divisional round 4 times since 1995 and never advanced, losing to the Panthers in 1995, the Giants, the Vikings and the Packers.

Let's stop with the doom and gloom and get behind our Cowboys. We should be having the time of our lives because Dallas has as good a chance as anyone to win it all. Cowboys Nation Unite. Cowboys Finish This Fight.
wishful thinking lol. Bunch of emo saps it seems the Cowboys have for fans these days. Dallas plays a smart game like they did in oct this should be a easy win. GB isnt playing a team with a OL who cant block. Dallas can keep the ball away from Rodgers with the run. NY for the life of me decided not to play Jennings much which was one of the stupidest decisions in this nfl yr. GB cant stop a power game. NY WRs did Eli no favors with all them drops and when Eli gets desperate as he did he throws INTs. Cowboys 34 Packers 20

It's been 21 years since we made it to a NFC Championship game, much less a Super Bowl. One win equals the accomplishments of 21 years.

Zeke was a newborn.

So you are saying when Zeke was born, we had to wait 21 years until he was able to get here for us to move forward......:lmao:......j/k....but yeah, now he can move us forward...like the Jedi in waiting to get here.....

Dam, I want to go back to the SuperBowl so bad.....................cant believe it was 1995 and this is 2017:facepalm:

Last time we won the Super Bowl, I was a week away from getting my drivers license. Now I'm an old man with a 7 year old kid. Seems like longer than 21 years.

I was 30 the last time we were in a championship game.:(

I was a newlywed 22 year old. I had a chance to buy tickets to Super Bowl 30 but couldn't afford them because I was still a senior in college. I figured the Cowboys were there to stay and had many more Super Bowls left. It never happened.

You have to enjoy these games and these opportunities. They don't come around often in today's NFL.

2006 was bears vs Colts right? Brees wasn't in those teams?

The comment was about Brees playing in the NFC Champ game twice. He played in 2006 and 2009 for the Saints in that game.

In 2006 he lost to the Bears.

Ahh were talking about nfc championship games. I thought he was talking about super bowls

Excellent thread. Odd. The naysayers haven't descended upon it as rabidly quickly as usual. It may be a sign of a brighter reading experience for members and visitors in CowboysZone's near future. Or just wishful thinking. Stay tuned.

Oh I agree with that. Nobody knows when we will have another opportunity like this. In 2007 I thought we'd be in many championship games with Tony as our QB. In SB XXX I kind of had a feeling it was the end of the line. Never did I think though that we'd only have 2 playoff wins the next 20 years. That's hard to do in this era of Parity.

I was a 31 year old pastor of a Church in the US Virgin Islands in 1995. The islands had recently been hit by a hurricane and I remember anxiously waiting to see if power was going to be restored so me and my friends could watch the broadcast of the Super Bowl. The power was back on 1 day before.

1 of my fondest memories is watching Dallas beat Pittsburgh in that game.
