You will be glad to hear that mike fisher was making some odd comments on the postgame show tonight. He was talking about Jerry not liking his coaches to cheat on him...meaning looking for another job while already here. He then went onto say Jerry told him here would be no changes.

He talked about some whispers of garret maybe being forced into decisions he didn’t like or want.

This got me to thinking I wonder if Garrett would want out at the end of the year here to take the. New York giants job. My understanding is John Mara loves Garrett. I just wonder if there is something there from what fisher said? Maybe I misunderstood the comments.

I suspect some assistants have put their names out there with all the openings this year... I fully expect Linehan to be told he needs to "look for another job" at the Senior Bowl. You know, so if he gets another OC job, Jerry won't be on the hook for his salary.

But Mara hiring Garrett would be amazing. Improve us and weaken them at the same time.

Didn’t the chryst’s Already turn Garrett down?

If Jerry was younger I think he would probably bring in a young head coach with a veteran defensive coordinator. Jerry is basically a follower and would probably copy what the rams did with a young quarterback and talented defense.

David Shaw and a vet DC would be fun.

Since Jerry is 75 we have zero chance of anything of this sort and I think Garrett and Stephen have been calling the shots anyway which is why they don’t even participate in feee agency anymore.

Good old days, I was 25 then. Let's see, I had hair, women, nice sports car, two of my siblings were still alive and well, I only had 3 kids, I thought my life was grand as a Cowboys fan. Especially after watching a Super Bowl or two in the 70s. The kids now a days have no clue.

I just want to add if something like this happened and jay gruden and Kirk cousins were available I would be all for that, grudens passing scheme with this running game would be great.

Having said all this I perfect am aware none of it is going to happen and we will all start are days with how we doing guys so we have to hope they nail the draft and the free agency and the qb turns it around.

K now I am rambling.

I'm pushing 55 soon, been fortunate to have enjoyed all the Cowboy SB victories, and at this point I'm really starting to wonder if I'll ever see another.
Just the thought of Garrett returning is depressing now, not to mention so much uncertainty @ QB and WR. Dak sure as heck is not the future, at least not a bright one.

Over 22 years we've had different QBs, different coaches, players come and go, and the only thing that hasn't changed is the guy making the decisions.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

This would be a problem if you let football run your life. I want a championship badly too, but you have to try and enjoy the games as they come.

The real issue is that we have a head coach that makes the games unfun to watch. Titles can be few and far in between but we should be able to watch quality coaching if nothing else.
