I remember watching one of his last college games (if not the last can't remember now) and taping it on VHS because I knew Dallas was going to take him. We had very bad reception on an antenna so it was really snowy, but I kept it for years. The tape is gone now. If I'm remembering correctly Landry was at the game and the showed him on TV.

Just seems like yesterday...the Dallas Cowboys signed this man. And the rest is history. Thought I'd post cause I can't believe it's been that long. Crazy.
Are you talking about Aikman or staubach?
Probably the cotton bowl, if I remember correctly.

I thought his last game was the Rose Bowl. I remember watching because I knew he would be a Cowboy and even told all my friends.

I just checked and it was the 1989 Cotton Bowl. Troy Aikman was the MVP.

I don't know why they kept the bum, he only won 14 games his first 3 years and and couldn't stay on the field because of constantly being hurt and threw 16 more int's than he did TD's. That wouldn't be acceptable for todays Cowboy fans unless you were a homer.
*insert snarky comment praising Aikman while also putting down our current QB*

It was only "Yesterday"
